Yes. You did, I glanced over posts and did not pick them apart.
No worries brother. I get that a lot for some reason lol!!!
It appears I’ve inherited a genetic condition that means my pituitary produces fuck all thyroid and leaves me with low T. No tumour, luckily, but appealing to pity doesn’t change the situation.
I didn’t say their situation was fair, I didn’t say their situation was ‘right’ or that there was anything wrong with their pursuing TRT as a solution. I said the solution was not ‘natural’.
Since, as Chris succinctly put, defining natural is not much more than mental masturbation, I used a specific context of sport. The only way to ensure that playing fields remain ‘level’ (as much as is possible anymore) is to draw the line before TRT use, not after with a definition of ‘natural levels’. Simpy because the repurcussions would be near 100% usage in any competitive sport
Hell I say let them go for it. Let those fuckers juice as much as they want and get as big as they want. Make it more entertaining for the rest of us.
Lengthen the distance to the fence. Make the gridiron bigger. If EVERYBODY in sports juiced then guess what…all of a sudden the playing field is level again.
I know I know…it dangerous…well…so is the sport but that hasn’t stopped them before. A lot of these guys make millions. I think it would make sports better all the way around!! Lol
In case anybody didn’t catch it…this was a joke.
Good post. I’ll take it. ![]()
Agree with you. Elite athletics has always been about pushing your body to the limit, beyond what others will do, and often beyond what is healthy. I also think shooting for 0% use is impossible, and 100% is the only ‘fair’.
But we are so far from that mentality that trying to keep it ‘clean’ is the only pragmatic approach.
I wish I could like this twice!!
Because everyone already does? ![]()
I I’ve been on TRT because I have idiopathic hypogonadism since 2001 or 2002. I competed in the ANBF and earned a pro card. WNBF didn’t allow me to compete.
Do you want to compete? If not, there’s no reason to care what your MEDICATION makes you to other gym goers!
It’s a GYM.
PRECISELY.
The question is flawed from the beginning. What do you even do with the answer, if you get one? Post ‘I’m NATTY!!!’ all over instagram?
All that matters is what contests do and don’t allow. That’s it. You can say whatever the fuck you want in your personal life. That’s your call.
it’s also most likely the future. I think we’ll get there eventually.
At the very least, there are a lot of banned substances that shouldn’t be. Things like HGH that could have tremendous benefits for atheltes recovering from injury, for instance. I think it’s absolutely silly that that isn’t allowed. Athletes should be able to do absolutely anything they want, medically speaking, to protect and heal their own bodies from injuries.
Well at least one person caught it! ![]()
I agree. And what pisses me off is that these guys get completely smeared if they use enhancement. Barry Bonds got stripped of his title because of it. They try to make it sound like the only reason these guys could do what they did was because of steroids. People see a jacked up pro body builder and say “he’s on juice”. What a freakin joke man. I challenge any joe blow to take all the drugs they want and go accomplish what some of these guys do. It’s not some magic pill. These guys EARNED what they got, just like you or I have to earn any gains we ever see in the gym. Every ounce of fat that I have ever cut came through hard work and caloric restriction. Every bulging muscle that a professional body builder has ever built came through pushing heavy shit, good ole discipline and hard work. For every baseball that Barry Bonds ever put over the fence, he had to hit 10,000 in a batting cage.
Sure the steroids gave them ability to push harder, and maybe focus better, but it just sucks that this all gets thrown to the side and their personal efforts are completely dismissed because they used enhancement.
When it comes to some sports I feel it’s a must. Look at the Tour de France… 2500 miles in three weeks and 100k feet of climbing. Sure there genetic beasts and that’s why they made it. However it was called a spectacle not a sport back in the day.
I ride 5 days and I’m exhausted…even when I’m fit. I can ride 3 days 4 hours a day and bam done… the entire week is rest and recovery… totally exhausted.
Imagine what these guys are doing… and they complain when they use…
I think it’s actually healthier for the athletes to be optimized and receive proper medical care during such a grueling event.
When it comes to the nfl I can imagine a lot of healing would progress and tons of advanced would occur in hormone management… it would trickle down to the normal joe and benefit society as a whole.
It would be an even playing field. You could say it’s ok to use peds as long as the using athletes are using healthy doses. I’d hate to see some nfl
Line backer get on tren or that anabolic shit that was originally made for horses… could you imagine taking these 6”5 beasts and adding 50lbs and 25% more strength to them? It would be called beast ball…
I bet 60-70% of major leaguers were on something. As for Bonds, most of those pitchers throwing to him were on too.
Only angry kids on the internet and self-proclaimed bodybuilders and powerlifters who compete in their tiny little local shows with 2 other competitors in their weight classes give a shit about this.
Ok, nonono, I’m just joking.
I don’t compete in anything.
I’ve been off roids for around 3 years. In 4 years, I will be natty!
^You guys see how stupid this looks when I put it in writing?
Seriously, who gives a fuck?
Ya that really doesn’t make sense but this did morph into another discussion beyond the op.
USADA is the same with these substances. You can get an exemption in some cases… I’ve heard of them but normally not for something like hypogadism.
End of day nobody cares if you have a medical reason for this… people will not understand. some will… most wont. Hardly anyone understands what it’s like to need TRT… we need this shit… I’d probably be dead in a few years if I hadn’t found this solution.
The “using TRT to get to normal levels makes you natural” thing never jived with me.
Naturally, there will be variations in ability in a population. There will be those who are naturally high test and naturally low test. Part of the interest and entertainment in observing competition is watching specimens that are on the high end of natural ability (at least, prior to an era of enhancement being far easier to obtain).
If you are naturally low test, that is your natural state. If you elevate your test, even if it falls within the realm of what is naturally achievable within a populace, you yourself are not natural. You are enhanced.
Hell, I’m undergoing this right now. I’m slated for corrective vision surgery. Naturally, my eyesight is very poor. I am naturally disadvantaged that way. They will (hopefully) correct my vision to what is naturally in the norm (20/20) of good vision. My surgical team will not be giving me vision above normal levels. However, once the surgery is complete, I will be surgically enhanced: not natural.
That’s my view of it from a philosophical perspective.
What do you mean? Same as what?
When it comes to what is legal. They don’t care for TRT . No Therapuric use exemption
