This thread is 12 pages long with some decent discussion. The only people trolled are the ones who think anyone is posting for the sake of the OP right now.
This thread has been entertaining AND informative.
Good.
What Hallowed says goes IMO

Much like your assumption that a lean lifter will not make gains in size, this is based on what I’ve seen at the gym.
Unless you have been lifting weights in the gym seriously for more than a decade, you have not been lifting long enough to observe that many people over that much time. I’ve seen it time and time again. Most of the guys who are most focused on how lean they are year round make the lesser progress over time (with very minor exceptions). Since it literally takes several years to even build the type of size we are discussing, unless you have been lifting long enough how would you know what someone else will do after they build a large amount of muscle?
You really think the kind of person who can force a gain of 70lbs of lean body mass or more somehow can’t have the dedication to diet as well?
That is highly unlikely that someone will build that kind of mass, work on balance, but somehow be incapable of dieting at all. It sounds like something skinny lifters tell themselves so they can ignore the “fat guy” just gained about 30lbs more muscle than they did in the same time period.

Well, is he back up to 260 right now? Or is he staying leaner these days?
He was back over 260 in less than 3 months. Trust me, no one is ignoring his muscle gains just because he isn’t super lean right now. The average person would freak at someone weighing 260+lbs at only 5’8" whether all abs are in or not. To think otherwise doesn’t even fall in line with reality. Mind you, he still has visible veins showing through his arms and delts and while he is more filled out, any lifter serious enough to get anywhere near that size would see him and realize how much work he put in. I would think someone would have to be pretty clueless to see him as “fat”.
I would say bullshit to that. I just lost a good deal of fat but have had many people tell me I looked impressive heavier as well. There is a huge difference between someone who is under 20% body fat at over 270lbs with no gut hanging and arms hovering around or over 20" and some random fat guy. You seem confused.
If you really think someone has to be sub-10% body fat for people to recognize the muscle they built, you need to get out more and meet more people.

it’s not about having your muscularity recognized. people don’t envy dudes who aren’t lean. period. an aspiring bodybuilder may admire or envy you/akuma because they know your physique + clen + t3 + disciplined diet = awesome; however, others think of you not as what you COULD be but what you look like at that moment.
a double-digit bodyfat physique is not aesthetically pleasing.

I’m glad you posted.
I think your thread here is a good one. That includes your post here. I will work on finding a psychologist to help me deal with the figments of my imagination that gave me compliments on how I looked despite not being below 10% body fat this past year.
Thanks again.

I’m gonna venture to say you don’t really know what you’re talking about.

Some people do, depending how muscular the person is. Some people dont, depending on how muscular the person is.
Your comment isnt a fact as stated. Dont present it as one wihtout expecting to be ridiculed.

true. no nut-hug, but i’m starting to realize you’re one of the best posters on this board FWIW
I respect a guy who can squat 1000lbs but looks stocky and not anywhere near lean. Impressive in my mind.

Women don’t have sex with stocky dudes who can squat 1000lbs. You haven’t been paying attention.
It’s ALL about the body fat percentage.

+1 on this, not what I’m striving for but I still respect the work it takes to get there.

Sorry- you’ve lost your right to take the moral high ground after one too many attempts to turn Zyzz into a meme. If Zyzz inspired you so much, what have you done to improve your aesthetics, while you were busy telling people to “mire” his, babyface?

So this is just about people envying (or in this case not envying) dudes?
Are you trying to get people to envy you?
What is this, I don’t even
