Ideal lifting proportions

I’d like to know what the proportions of lifts should be, e.g. Should your squat\deadlift always be 25% stronger than your bench press? How much more should you shoulder press than you curl (biceps) or kickback (with your triceps)?

I know that there can’t possibly be perfect proportions because everyone is different. Shorter limbs vs.
Longer limbs, all else equal, will have the shorter have more lifting potential (like Lee Priest deadlifting more than Ronnie Coleman). But I just want a general guideline of proportions because obviously if your bench is much stronger than your squat, your body will be unbalanced.

Example of format:

Deadlift approximately equal to Squat
Row approximately same as Bench
Shoulder Press at least 25% stronger than Barbell Curl

Mathematical format:

Deadlift ~= Squat
Row ~= Bench
Shoulder Press = BB Curl x 1.25 (25% heavier)

Please help.

  2. I would love to see Lee Priest try to deadlift more than Ronnie.

thats was a kinda weird article. it had no leg stats (sure it was comparing upper body stats) and heavy emphasis on bis and chest. i always thought Chuck was an strength coach not a 16 year old gym rat…
nost were pretty close on my behalf (with 5%) except the chins which was way higher than my bench
