I’m currently on cruise dose of 200mg test a week. I’m planning on dropping some bodyfat over the next few months before my next blast. What is the ideal bodyfat range to minimize estro sides and by what measurement method? I have calipers, tape measure and scales. But the measurement from each is vastly different.
Purists will tell you something in the 12% area. For a power lifter that’s pretty much unheard of. If you get high e2 then bite the bullet and take an AI. But I think 15% is fine. Hell, for some guys 17% is the right place. Who knows, man?
I usually go with 20mg of nolva ed on blast but I’ve had some high blood pressure issues on my last blast. The plan is to get to a good baseline to minimize sides on next blast which will likely be around Jan time. I’m also planning on doing test only this time round to make things easier to monitor. What bodyfat method do you suggest using? I do have arimidex aswell and not against using it if I need it
Bod pod or dexa scan are generally considers the most accurate. There is a simple set of directions to follow leading up to the test to increase accuracy make sure you follow them.
I have heard the navy method is +/- 3% in almost all cases. All you need is height, weight, stomach circumference, and neck circumference.
Obviously, this is not going to be as good as hydro static weighing, but good enough for me as a powerlifter.
The navy method is what I’ve used before, like you say might not be super accurate but it seems fairly consistent for me which I guess is all that matters to track progress, I’m not convinced I’m able to accurately use calipers myself I get varied readings and my scale just says I’m 20% bf whatever the hell kind of shape I in seemingly. Would mind trying a deca scan but there doesnt seem to be any local to me. I’ll look into it though
This. I doubt superheavy weight powerlifters are aiming for 12% lol.
