1st Blast Advice: Do It Now or Keep Waiting?

What would happen if I ran a 16-week cycle of 500mg Test Cyp at 20% body fat while in a calorie deficit?

Currently on 100mg per week test cyp.

What are the numbers on your squat/bench/deadlift?

From what I read here, most people will tell you AAS are for building muscle, not losing weight. Sure, steroids help with fat loss and muscle retention, but some consider it to be a wasted cycle that could have been used to build muscle.

You never stated how big of a deficit you’re planning. You also didn’t give basic facts such as age, height and weight.

I would optimize muscle increase with the 500mg per week testosterone. Add more muscle on excess calories to assure mass increase. The additional muscle will burn more calories, and thus, more fat.

Those are decent numbers which means you’re also holding some decent muscle mass. However, 2000 calories seem awfully low. How many calories do you need to maintain current weight?

What is your end goal in all of this? Pure aesthetics? Health?

maintenance calories are 2800.

the end goal is 220lbs at 10% body fat by May 2023 (50th bday).

I started at 345lbs. I have been on a diet for a year. The losses have slowed and it’s not fun anymore, I want to start the next phase.

I wanted to cut to 190 then blast but at this rate thats 3-4 more months.

I should have titled the thread am I still to fat in your opinion to blast.

It’s my understanding I will be wasting drugs 1) not in a calorie surplus, drugs are for bulking not cutting. 2) body fat is so high I will aromatize most of it and waste it.

Are you currently running AI? If you’re still carrying a lot of fat, maybe an AI would be more helpful than using more gear to help retain the test instead of having it aromatized at a higher rate.

What does your conditioning look like? I’ve found that upping my conditioning before cutting calories or increasing drugs has been a big boost when getting leaner.

This is a good mid-term goal, however…

You’ve come a long way losing so much weight and congratulations for doing so. But don’t be hasty and lose sight of your goals. You set your eyes on the prize and what’s 3-4 more months in the grand scheme of things?

Perhaps you may considering upping your trt dose to 150 to give you a little boost to help you retain as much muscle as possible while cutting to 190. However, I’m no expert in trt dosing and don’t go fucking something up that works for you just because some stranger on the internet though it was a good idea.

I think you’ll be much happier with the results getting your weight down to 190 and then doing the blast for all of the reasons that you yourself concluded in your above post. Whatever you decide, good luck.

I walk an average of 50 miles per week (15 hours of walking). No other cardio.

I personally believe walking is HIGHLY underrated. Kudos to you. Also, as mentioned above, congrats on the weight loss. That’s excellent

I’m getting labs soon. If e2 is still high will take some AI. April 2020 is baseline pre trt

You’re TT/FT already look good for cutting. I wouldn’t waste the extra test. I wonder why your E2 shot up so much.

When were you labs taken in relation to your shot? You’re getting a lot out of a small dose of test already, I wouldn’t jump up to 500mg just to continue cutting weight.

Also, you’ve been on a diet for a year and loss is slowing down, it happens. Take a break. Eat at maintenance for a month or two then go back to your cutting diet.

I take the last shot Saturday AM. Go get labs the following Friday AM. 5 days.

Your TT being over 1500 ng/dL after 5 days of a 100 mg shot is incredible. I am a little over 1200 ng/dL on 200 mg/wk pinned M,W,F. Bloods taken 2 days after shot.

My thoughts are do the blast after. I think the muscle you lose while on the cut will be back in a month on a blast.

Your Test seems plenty high for you (>1500), so I don’ think upping that is the best route.

If it was me, I would stretch an oral out by using it in lower dosages. If you were to use Anavar at 30-40 mg/day (or Tbol at 20-30 mg/day), I think you could do that for 8 weeks. I think because it is dry, your perception of the cut will be better. It just gets hard to cut if you are watery. The visual improvement seems to drive me to keep going.

NPP makes me a bit nervous to run. I would want to get a lot out of it if I take that risk.
