So was this picture the end result of 4 dollars worth of fun? Apparently I need to do some traveling. Though on second thought, the traveling expenses might negate the money saved on alky. Fedex?

That should have read, “$2 drafts,” as in, each draft beer was $2. I didnt mention how many of them there were. For a reason.

That a dog on your floor next to you? Or the hide of a feral animal you killed with your bare hands?
It’s a dog, my American Cocker Spaniel. He’s the best dog EVAR!! (Isn’t everyone’s?) He lays next to me like that when I come home from leg days at the gym and hafta lay on the kitchen floor.
Masch- Yes. Very, very dangerous. A foe I hope to not meet again for awhile.
Tried to post a pic of mah doggy and a comment, but for now, here’s a pic of my cat. I call her, “disapproving kitty,” because she is. Unless I’ve just put food in her bowl.
I’d had so many days in a row off, and was still unsure about whether or not I was underfed, that I started Mikes workout over again, with what I’ll call the “lighter” day. Which is a joke, bc I still come home with mah ass kicked. And hips, and… you get the idea.
I did lunges with lighter weight than I’m used to, and I have never felt weaker doing them. My only consolation (and its a big one) is that I’m gonna get soooo much stronger bc of this.
Cal- they’re static lunges, take a step forward, straighten legs, lower knee, repeat. aka, humbling as crap, now that i have to do them CORRECTLY.
Deja- there is much debate about whether they were 20oz drafts or 40oz drafts. They seemed much larger than 20, and no one else was there to verify, so until I go back to ask, i’ll split the difference and call em 30. Yes, im making shit up as i go along.
Doggie does a great job as a nursemaid, I’d LOVE it if he would help carry in groceries once in awhile. Or at least open the door. He tells me he cant bc he doesnt have thumbs. excuses.
Started my observation for Physical Therapy this morning. (must have 100hrs to apply to the program.)
I watched a geriatric man who had a knee replacement do standing hamstring curls with a 2lb ankle weight and a 9 inch range of motion. I refrained from asking why he was doing a weighted exercise when he cant get his ankle past parallel.
I watched a man recovering from elbow surgery do chest presses, elbow flared, 30reps with a 5lb db. I asked what the diff would be for him to do em with a neutral grip vs pronated (he was doing em pronated). the PTA told me the pronation gives a really good stretch. mmmhmmm.
I played with a device that’s a 12in diameter circle with rubber webbing. stick your fingers through the webbing, and either pinch or flare your fingers. different colors indicate difficulty, the PTA told me blue and black are almost impossible. so I picked em up and did my 15 reps on both. the PTA was genuinely surprised. I refrained from telling them I’m a powerlifter. For now.

Bets as to how many hours it will take for CBear to either bite all the way through her tongue OR to start raising some serious hell?

My mom, who is a retired OT, said she would ask the same thing. She said you never do weighted exercise until you have full ROM. She also doesn’t get the flared elbow thing, it’s putting way to much stress on the shoulders.
sure its a good stretch for the elbow, but not worth the stress on the shoulders. i think he woulda been better served with 1 arm face pulls. but whatevs. im not in charge yet.

Hahahaha CBear NEEDS to be at an inpatient facility… I bet the other crazies may even elect her as “Social Chair” ;D
this makes me want to borrow a pair of my nana’s CLEAN paper pants (diapers), my nephews football, a tennis racket, the colander helmet from indy, and some glitter.

Its awesome that you’re coming to the table with so much knowledge - you’re ahead of the game and you sound really passionate about it.
Sorry, I can’t remember if you said, are you studying to be a PT?
you shall be smote for your lack of attention to everything “Bear.” Now bring your ass over here an sit on mah face.
not a PT, thats a long time and a doctorate degree that i REALLY dont wanna defend. Physical Therapist Assistant.
shorter school (I’m getting tired of this shit)
won’t be full time the whole time (credits cancelled each other out. woot!)
I see more PTA’s than PT’s leading patients through exercises, and what I want is the hands on.
so, i’d take the rx from the PT, and do what I want anyway. When I get better results quicker they’ll figure it out.
The hard part is going to be keeping my 'tude in check (ya think?) while i’m in school and for the first few years. I’ll hate it, but experience builds mountains. And I really am aware that I don’t know everything yet.
