you need to try sledding on a shower curtain.

that’s what we do in the big city when it snows.

lol! Or garbage can lid (when they’re not chained down).

Sledding is fun! Still prefer the kind of “cardio” that comes with frolicking on a beach tho.[/quote]

“frolicking” on a beach?.. I need more info here.

As if I hadn’t had enough snow fun with the sledding, I helped out my sis (even more) by shoveling her driveway last night… she has a friend with a plow, who never came over… some friend!!

She paid me with food so it was all good, and I’m pretty sure I lost 2lbs of pure fat last night bc of it.

Then up and over at her house by 630 this morning so she could leave for clinicals (nursing school), and I had the kids till 1030 (school delayed 2hrs bc of weather), then straight to work till 7.

I’ve acquired a snotty, phlemy, wheezing type accessory to my upper respiratory system, and have tightened up the diet bc of it. Tonight at work was more chicken w/brown rice, broccoli and hummus, grapes, and macadamia nuts. On the plus side, I’m pretty sure the coughing is gonna be great for my abs.

So I’ll wait till friday to try training… I’m pretty sure no one in the gym would appreciate getting hit with a lung rocket via cbear. I push my limits enough there already, I’ll save my points for another time.

kimba- u reminded me of a george carlin line I love so much- “When did ‘cocksucker’ become a ‘bad man?’ I thought it was a ‘good woman’!”

Lost 2 lbs of pure fat? Wet Wolf better watch out!

Definitely a good idea to take care of yourself. I had a cough like that in the fall, and it lasted a good 6 weeks because I kept pushing through it. Feel better!

Eww! I’ve been dealing with that same sort of upper respiratory thing for over a week now. It’s awesome.

I also learned that college health centers are useless and to be avoided at all costs. I’ve been sick on and off since xmas and finally decided to go make sure nothing was actually wrong when I reached the point where it hurt too bad to swallow. The woman told me that I either had a viral thing or sinus infection, but either way, nobody treats those with drugs anymore so it would be best for me to just stay home until I feel better. I’m really glad I didn’t have to pay for that.

I love the barter exchange with the sis - food=love.

Phlegm sucks! Hope it clears up ASAP.

Thanks for the well wishes! I’m starting to wonder why they havent made one of those tiny vacuums to suck out chest crap… like they have at the dentist to suck out ur spit… i know they have em for your nose (had that done once. weird and so cool at the same time.)

i think i’ve heard that there may be a round, rough textured green thing that has juice inside it that might help your situation.

nobody wants loogy rockets flying by at the gym. gross. get rest. get better!

haha, T.

I had 3 or 4 limes in all yesterday, and that may have been the punch this crap needed. I let myself sleep in today (observation be damned when i feel that bad), and I woke up with the ability to breathe through my nose, AND with minimal wheezing. HELL YEAH!! if this keeps goin well I’ll be training tonight!

Limes. Interesting. You eat them like an orange?

nope, I cut em in half, squeeze both of em into a big cup (or my 1L water bottle), and fill it up with water.

I kept sayin lime water and Cal got worried.

you can eat limes like an orange,
its just not fun.

I used to eat them when I wrestled.

what is your zinc and vitamen D like?

are you mega stressed- I only get colds from stress.

zinc is a semi-nightly supp, like when i remember

vit D is 3-4x week, 4000iu at a dose.

stressed… between the constant hum of a stalker (that i occasionally get too distracted to notice), school, work, observation hours, the gym, and keeping my house/dog/cat taken care of, I’m more stressed than I’ve been in a long time.

^^
not saying all of that is a terribly big deal, bc I know I’m a lucky bastard and that there are people out there who are way more stressed than I am. I’m just not used to being pulled in so many directions at once, and the next couple months determine my career and much of the rest of my life.

EDIT:

training**

went to the gym with my wheezy self, and im really fucking happy with what i did.

front squats went up to 125x8 again, increased offset stepups to a 55lb db for 8 each side, and everything else went along those same lines.

The only real problem the sickness laid on me is that my nose was so stuffed a couple times i couldnt breathe while taking a drink.

get the damn zicam stuff i tolled you about. not the regular one to get rid of colds faster. but the congestion one.

nice job on the squats.

you will make it through the next couple months, trust me. you have it within you, you just have to transform that will to succeed into the tangible. things will fall into place and then you will be all happy and bored because you aren’t being challenged. ok, not likely to be bored but you will get there, wherever and whatever it is you set your sights on.

Take care of yourself hawt ass!

Nice job on the workout while under the weather!

I hear you on the career/life future stress… I’m waiting to hear back from some schools currently, and I HATE the waiting!
Stick with it, your perseverance & mental toughness will definitely serve you well.

I should pay more attention.

Oh, I think I’ve got it. Usually I watch things fall into flaming piles of shit, it’s rare for me to come upon the shit already burning.

zicam x2

Nice squatting. You could try Bronkaid but the ephedrine won’t help the stress much.
