I’m just starting Ian King’s 12 weeks to Upper Body Strength, and I have a question about the warm-up sets in phase I tri-sets. Are these best done individually before the work sets (i.e. warm up set, work set - 2nd exercise, warm up, work, - 3rd exercise, warm up, work) or together as a warm up tri-set (i.e. warm up exercise 1, warm up 2, warm up 3, work 1, work 2, work 3)? Thanks
Do them as a warm-up tri-set.
I myself have been doing the warm up set as an individual set before each work set…
I’m not sure how it is ment to be done, but i’m certainly having alot of pain the next day.
So far it is an awsome routine, although i feel like a fat chick doing leg aduction, but it builds character…
I did them as a tri-set, its a great program, you won’t be diasppointed - just sore and stronger.
I did them individually before each work set. The 12 Weeks program is awesome. I’m just finishing phase 2 & I’ve been hitting personal bests in at least one exercise every single workout for the last 3 weeks. Great for the body & great for the ego (private comment; men of the cloth normally promote humility).
I’m in phase three and have consistently done a warm up set and then the work set, warm up workset, warm up work set. I don’t like to do a warm up tri superset, I always push myself too hard for a warm up.
