I Want to be Fashionable

The second set of pictures are an improvment in terms of style, but you still are showing akward body language and projecting a lack of confidence.

Seriously, do not underestimate the role of confidence and being comfortable with who you are. Even if you don’t yet have that confidence, fake it, just act like you’re sure of yourself.

I had to look down at the camera since it wasn’t at eye level so it could get the pants in the picture. I could have smiled but I didn’t. There is nothing to be happy about.

I am really poor and don’t have a paying job and live at home with my parents at 23 and will at least until I am 24

Get a job. There is no excuse whatsoever that you can answer to that other than: good idea.

Living at home you can spend more than $1.25 for a Tshirt! If you can’t even be bothered to put together a TOONIE for your shirt then you get what you deserve.

Wearing a collared shirt doesn’t make you look like a douche.

Putting yourself down does.

Well then, when you graduate you’ll probably have a job with a decent future. Why arent’ you looking foward to that?

Also, (unless maybe if you’re in a doctorate program) you can definently get a part time job to earn some cash. There are people out there that have two full time jobs, and still make time to spend with their families. It’s very hard, but very possible.

Is the Internship full time? I’d still try to get a job at a retail store, say youll work 15 hours, slag it out for a few weeks then slowly wittle the hours down to just all day sunday. Thats $72 a week or so, 2 nice t-shirts or a pair of jeans a week. You’ll be a baller in no time.

Tell your parents your going to get groceries for the family, they will give you money and then go spend it on clothes. When you get home tell them you were robbed.

This will not work when your mom does your laundry. The clothes; she will find them.

You are getting way too depressed about living with your parents – it’s not a big deal. Many people at ages 23/24 still live with their parents to save up money (so get a part-time job to start saving up money). My friend is 24 and works for State Farm and is getting around 40k a year for his first job, but he is still living with his mom to save up for his own house. Nothing wrong with that.

Do you think I should buy clothes that are one size down? Should I go from a medium to a small? All those shirts/sweatswhirts/jackets in the 2nd batch of pics are mediums.

i weighed in at 190 today, though, lol. I have a full 6-pack though.

If you’re worried about whether you look fit in the clothes you have, don’t. It’s quite obvious even to the average person that you are in shape based on how you look in those clothes.

If anything you would need to go up a size. The shirts look fine but personally for my taste the sleeves are too short. Just get 200+ and then start wearing L’s.

If you’re going to keep buying clothes where you buy them now go to large. They’re not the kind of clothes that will fit tight because they’re not tailored to a fit person’s body in anyway. Guess, Le Chateau, Buffalo, Diesel etc, those middle level lines that sell shirts for 30-60 you’d get away with it. If at K-mart, get Large.

Just wear the collard shirt. I wear collard shirts to school all the time, sure I might seem a lil overdressed, but its all about the way you carry yourself. Seriously, zipped or unzipped? Analysis by paralysis.
