Hey guys!!! I just bought these at the store and have decided that I want to compete in Nascar next week. I don’t have a really fast car yet (and have never actually raced), but I figure my 1971 Ford Pinto should at least allow me to have fun!!!
Please. People who are truly proud of their bodybuilding progress are simply not that shy about it.
I have asked this question of HIT-ites for several years and they NEVER post pictures of themselves yet they all claim they are making the best progress on Earth.
Well, I guess I can’t be in your elite club, Michelin Man. I never said I was “proud” of my progress. I would rather say I am pleased with it. And I never said I was making the best progress on earth either.

And yet he competes so some would label him a BBer and you not one. Not to start up that debate, but things like this make my eye twitch sometimes.
All you have to do is actually follow bodybuilders during their pre-contest (13 weeks out and in) phase, and it’s very easy to see, which I think you don’t realize, is that prepping for a contest and coming in at like 4% bodyfat IS VERY DIFFICULT and mentally draining.
If you’re doing it “for the fun” I doubt you’ll even stick through till the finish because you have to reaally want it bad to get to that low bodyfat, along with all the other shit that comes with prepping for a contest.
It’s not something you do “for fun”. Being dehydrated isn’t “fun”. Being in a caloric deficit and having no cheat meals for 12 weeks isn’t “fun”. Wake up.
OP- Most folks aren’t trying to be a-holes here, but you are coming across as very ill informed, and do not seem to realize that you obviously have a great deal of misconceptions about a number of things (your physique, contest prep, HIT…).
Speaking as someone who is in the middle of his own prep, you may be damn proud of your 15" guns now, but at 5’8, when you diet them down to 13", yet still have pudge around your midsection you won’t be a very happy camper, standing there in your posing briefs in front of an auditorium full of strangers. There’s a lot of smart folks on this site with a ton of knowledge, yet everyday I see a ton of younger trainers (well, not always younger) who are just too rock-headed to listen.
OP, why don’t you post pics ? if you are happy to step on stage then this shouldn’t be an issue.
Will help people give more accurate advice, but from what it looks like you’re no where near comp level
Why anyone at that age would want to put themselves through competition levels of dieting i will never quite understand, and yes i’m sure their are exceptions but VERY few.

Sweet! I’ll look out for the car with the big X spray painted on the top. It should be a good ol’ time for you.

LOL. I wonder which of us would look better near contest shape at this point, Michelin Man…or mister HIT-ite.
You know what I love…that I can post a pic of myself at my absolute fattest…and still look more impressive than many of the people acting like I should be ashamed because I’m not ripped at the moment.
Ok guys I am sorry for the inconvience I was just trying to figure out some things. I will skip competing and just go watch again. But, now with that out of the way how about trying HIT what do you say I will up my carbs and caleries tomorrow. Sorry for being dumb I guess.
That one guy- I know what it takes to lose the weight I lost 100+lbs and entered a show two years ago and being on stage was the greastest and FUNNEST day of my life

Bricknyce- Well when it comes down to my waist I am just judging off the pants I wear they are a size 36 but are falling off of me like if I dont wear a belt and I take about 5 steps they are around my knees lol. I am not hugely fat by any means. I dont know what my BF% is but I m not a complete fat ass or "Overly Fat
" as you say.
If your waist size is not 36 inches, why list your waist size as 36 inches?! Maybe I should say my arms is 25 inches because I wear a huge down parka in the winter time? Maybe I can say I have a 60 inch chest because I wear a thick sweater under it also?
I didn’t say you’re a fat ass; anyone with half a brain on this site who knows a bit about body composition would assume you’re overly fat if you are 5’7", weigh 187#, and not in contest shape! And when I say overly fat, I mean overly fat by bodybuilding standards, not layperson standards! I’m 5’10", carry about 15% bodyfat, and weigh 230#. I have semblance of a four pack. Most people on here could get a mental picture of how I’m put together from this information.
Your post shows that you don’t even know the ins and outs of taking your stats.

I’m all for keeping the body confused by changing training protocols but I simply refuse to place the bulk of my aspirations on both HIT or DC. I’ve got jack diddly shit from both. Sure, I you would call it overtraining if you saw me hitting chest but thats what works time and time again. I go as far as considering DC or HIT training protocols only ment to be implemented when injured. Not a fan boys, simply not a fan.
Where was DC mentioned in this thread?
It wasn’t, you made a very good point through the use of higher intelligence. DC and HIT both revolve around low work volume.
Different poster said that HIT and DC is very different. Maybe you should quote him instead.
Fuck that, I dont have time to participate in a pissing contest.
