I Need a Nutritionist

No.1 reason Australians know bugger all about making weight - i need an experienced person that can determine macros, menus & what weight i should be fighting at etc. & plan for “same day” & “next day” weigh-ins as well as the different sports i compete in - ie. if i have a muay thai, wrestling, BJJ tourney, boxing or MMA etc.

Im not looking at cutting ridiculous amounts like 30lbs, i believe 10-15lbs could be done safely if the knowledge is available.

I was thinking of Jamie Hale. Im sceptical of guys that arent experienced in fighting.

Billy Rush seems to have fallen off the radar…

Berardi

Berardi’s not a fighter, nor has been a fighter as far as i know.

does it matter? i’m sure eating for Olympic sports can’t be that entirely different than a fighter.

Alwyn posted on the EliteFTS website that he and a few others are creating an EliteFTS manual for cutting weight. May not be what your looking for but it should be a resource.

In the near term you could post a couple more specific questions in the EliteFTS fight section.

Someone doesn’t need to be a fighter to understand the needs of a fighter.

The man has a PhD in exercise biology and nutrient biochemistry and runs ScienceLink, a business that designs nutritional plans for athletes (but not just athletes).

Besides, he co-wrote The Grapplers Guide to Nutrition, which I’m sure can be used by just about any fighter:

JB has worked with many mma fighters, including me. He is the best there is.

Thanks Rugger, ill check it out.

Got it Rhun, its a good book but its only a guide.

Im sure Berardi’s good but i dont want to hear his name just because he writes here.

I’m going to suggest Berardi again, because you clearly don’t want to hear it.

And if you’re that dead set against something, you probably need to listen.

Im just sceptical of nuthuggers. ill contact precision nutrition.

You made the right choice.

Didn’t you know, you can no longer have respect for someone’s work without being a fanboy who thinks they can walk on water.

Not talking specifically about the original poster, but this attitude is getting annoying.

See I was thinking he was calling someone a homosexual and therefore couldn’t be trusted… can be interpreted many ways.

Its a TUF thing.

Im a sceptic at the best of times, im just saying just because person A writes for website A & website A is your favourite website, doesnt make him the be all & end all.

I dont think thats the best use of the English language to make my point, but im falling asleep. Ill awake to the flaming.
