Alan Aragon Looks Like a Smug Prick

Not much to say about him other than I don’t like the cut of his jib judging from this picture

He writes some good stuff.

Agreed, he is a smart mofo. But like every human, a jackass about some stuff too.

Lets not stoop to the same level here guys. Drop this shit.

If you don’t like the guy, fine. But don’t troll the man and post his pictures on the board.

I read the thread title as “Alan Aragorn…”

Is there a look you prefer in your man? Judging by you avatar I’d venture a guess at curly locks a singlet and bent over.

Disappearing thread?

Haha

If you could rotate the two pics like some sort of .gif, that would be a pretty funny avatar.

ID is on his photoshop game today!

If this thread disappears this place will start to remind me too much of the crossfit message boards, complete with overly censored posts and a cultish following.

He may have written some good stuff but it is evident that he now has a serious problem with both the people who post on the forums here as well as with Biotest’s marketing.

For example:

“My guess is that a huge % of the t-mag forum posters are shills, paid in cash or supps. Thus, their sole objective is to push the products and oppose any criticism. The rest of the forum members are just newbs & nonthinking sheep.”

You have to ask yourself why he would want an article to be published on here if that was what he believed.

He also does look smug and IDs picture is hilarious.

His/Lyle’s forum isn’t bad if you are willing to dig through all the bro-isms… they love to talk about studies over there, which is an interesting change of pace from this forum.

They do tend to be a little paranoid about various posters here being fake accounts. though.

There is an interesting aspect of human psychology where people tend to be highly suspicious of others doing what they themselves do.

I found it amusing that they make fun of the T-Nation members for “sticking together” or what have you when they are pretty much doing the same thing on there side of the interwebz.

It’s like the high school cafeteria lunch table groups.

The thing that irks me about the forums he usually posts on is that they absolutely won’t believe something unless it’s on PubMed. It’s like their bible.

Dave Tate and Mat Kroc sum this up nicely in their video here:

Isn’t he banned on this forum lol?

He says that he is but I suspect that is not the case. He has had posts appear relatively recently, and there is one thread where he has made claims that his posts weren’t going through but the fact was – as I was active in the thread at the same time – posts were coming up in that thread in real-time and he in fact had his back-and-forth with me. So in other words, his claims on that subject are known to not necessarily be true.

Now, if he is banned or gets banned there would be reasonable reason for that, and certainly he’d have no basis for claiming anything wrong with that, as his forum is known for banning people left and right.

Myself, I wouldn’t ban or moderate him though, as in my experience with him thus far, all that happens is that he discredits himself. But I can appreciate that the site may not appreciate what is agitation for the sake of agitation, which is his goal.
