I met Bill Kazmaier: The Kaz

Well, I couldn’t believe it. The legendary Bill Kazmaier worked out in my gym. At first, a few of us thought that it couldn’t be him. I mean, why would he be training in our gym? Yes, my gym is hardcore, but what would he being doing in our little city? Come to find out, he’s training here about once a month as he is visiting his son. So after his workout, he signed some autographs and greeted everyone and answered questions. I’ll tell you no lie, the Kaz is huge. He is by far the biggest guy I’ve ever seen in our gym. And even though he doesn’t train as heavy as he used to, he is still throwing around some impressive weights. In fact, he was training shoulders and biceps. He was doing front raises with a 135-lb barbell and hammer curls with 95lb dumbbells. The Kaz is measured at about 6’2" and near 300lbs of solid muscle, and it’s more impressive in person. He looks good and he was quite personable and soft-spoken. I’ll be sure to get a pic of myself with him the next time he’s there.

Seeing great feats of strength performed live is always very impressive. Kaz is a true competitor and a class act.

Next time you see him, ask him if he’ll roll your frying pan up like a tortilla for you. Man, I’d pay to see that…

I had the same experience working out at Dave Draper’s Gym some time ago - You couldn’t meet a nicer guy (well, maybe YOU can - I’ve heard Kaz is a supergreat guy). Consider yourself rather fortunate, bro…!

He has a gym about 45 minutes from my house. I know he has a commercial gym in Auburn but i also believe he has a smaller gym with chains and stuff. I wish it was closer to me.

I think kaz is the most impressive stronge man ever.

Next time I see him, I’ll bring a frying pan along and see if he’ll fold it for you! LOL! I’ll definitely get a photo with him and send it in to T-mag. I’ll end up looking like a 10-year-old kid next to him!

whoa, I was gonna jump in the thread just to give Nate the thumbs up, but you met Dave Draper? That’s some cool shit bros. I’ve met no one. I stink. (cool sighting nate)

Would love to mee Kaz someday. Or just watch the mammoth train. Anywhoos, I was also fortunate to meet Dave Draper. Even sat next to the dude on a shuttle ride to a contest. Yes, I agree - VERY nice man. Very cool.

Even had dinner (well, me the promoter of the contest and friends) with Robby Robinson. And there was also Marjo (most beautiful woman in the world) and Hannu Selin. Every single one of them - great, great people.

God, how I wish BB was still producing such grand folk now. And I know it ain't. *sigh*

I’ve met Phil Pfister and Brian Schoonveld, which was pretty awesome, but meeting the Kaz? That would just be incredible.
