I didn’t notice that guy at all, thank god. I “think” he was trying to do unilateral presses of some sort but really he was killing time.

Was that chick about to squat in the rack behind you? I NEVER see that in my gym. Her boyfriend sure wasn’t getting very low.

She was squatting but it was only to that box sitting by them so her’s were super high. Her boyfriend was “training” her.
you did get out of the groove a bit, Joe. but its the same stuff I need to work on as well. keeping the butt low while letting the legs do the initial work instead of doing most of the lift with your hips and back.
Half squats at best on the brotard behind you and the box squats looked like they were going to be 1/4 squats at best.

Oh my gosh, you did the same thing, Kimba: Got glued to watching the woman in the background about to squat the big plates. Of course, Joe cut the clip. Only then did I remember I was supposed to be watching the guy pulling the DL!
I think what Soldog said was dead on. Pulling a bit much with the back, which makes me a wee bit nervous for you since I know your back has been suffering.

Okay I really am an asshole today.
I was reading Kimba’s log and somebody called The Student posted advice which is all well and good except for the guy has been in the beginners section most of the year asking really basic qiestions. Now thats fine too but when you are asking questions most experienced lifters know you shouldn’t be telling people how to do their shit. Thats a big pet peeve of mine in every facet of life, if you don’t know how to do it then don’t ell other people how to do it.
I just backed slowly out of Kimba’s log out of respect for her but I was set to tear the guya new asshole.
Maybe I need to chill the fuck out.
