I Have Nothing to Declare but My Genius

Well, I guess you really enjoyed competing! Joe, that is so exciting. Do these meets involve alot of travel? If so, what a great opportunity for a vacation.
Nationals is in a kitchy little vacation town in the Smokey Mountains.

Looks like you’ve caught the fever. Good stuff!
Keep after it.

Yeah Strick, I think I’m going to give it a ride.

Those meets are really close together. Why not pick one so you can schedule your training cycle to peak at meet time? Five weeks is not enough time to recover and make any additional gains.
Thats probably wise, I am prone to high levels of dumbass.
Guess it’s been too long since I’ve competed in PL. 5 weeks may not be enough time to increase your strength much but unless you hurt yourself I can’t see it taking 5 weeks to recover.
You talking about the nationals in Gatlinburg, Joe? Mayfest at Atmore? Not at the prison, is it? I’m doing a highland game in Gatlinburg in May. I see there’s another SPF meet in Arab in Sep. Still be in my Highland season but maybe just maybe I sneak it in.
Your dips are really outstanding.

Joe,

I haven’t had much time to follow what folks are up to. I see you just did a meet. I tried to watch your vids, but you removed them to punish me for not checking in! I guess I had it coming!

Congratulations!

I admire the guts it takes to compete at all. I don’t got it. And I’m still all “groupie-love” over your dips.

I wouldn’t give me too much credit. I have the ability to do an endless number of embarassing things. You weren’t around for teh Christmas video.

So I got asked what music I wanted to lift to at Nationals. Well I don’t listen to musci while I lift normally so I thought about choosing something amusing like Linus and Lucy, also known as the Snoppy dance song.

Then I considered something really hardcore like Ministry’s Stigmata also for the lulz.

But I went with a love song:

What kind of music did they have at the Arab meet? Wasn’t it German or something? You liked it though.

Standing EZ Curls

The 365 pull was ugly and featered shaking and rounded back. Still the money set felt okay and I guess its all a work in progress.

1x365

I’m astonished how your dips are STILL increasing. I’ve been crunching the numbers and I’ve worked out at your current rate of improvement your dips will overtake your deadlift at 3.18am on 19th of Feb 2012.

just droppin in for my weekly dose of dips PR

did someone say german?

There was a lot of Rammstein at the meet.

Just getting caught up over here. Awesome job on first meet.

OOOH! I love listening to the music in the background of the competition vids. I remember there was someone, maybe snap or PMPM, that had the most hilarious music playing. Its cool that they ask you what you want to listen to! I’d be so embarrassed if I had to play the music I listen too. HAHA!

And yeah, i’d say you def caught the competition bug. Awesome!

Nice pulling and pressing, sir. Working with any DBs over 50lbs blows my mind!

Damnit Maschy, I got distracted by your picture and forgot what I was going to say. Something about bench press looking good Joe. Sorry.

No worries, I’m trying to resist making it my computer background.

Thanks, right now my goal is to get strong enough so that I look like a belong at the meets. I got called “gangly” at the first one.

I’m not even sure what “gangly” as applied to you even means.
