I Have Nothing to Declare but My Genius

jealous of the apple pie!

not the snow though, you can keep that

Bread pudding! Gosh, I love that stuff. And, what a cute little snow-coating! Actual snow is what is going on outside at the moment, for which the snowblower and the generator stand ready to clear the carnage.

Well there is still a week entil the new year but as i am fat and happy from the holiday feasting I’m going to go ahead and lay out the goals for the new year. The first goal is to be more, more intense, more focused, get more out of every rep and every day.

Now as to concrete goals I’m going to hit before the end of 2011:

Squat 355

Bench 315

Dead 500

Dip 2x bodyweight

Ruck 15 miles with a 70lb load.

Run a sub 6 second 40 with a sled+25lbs

Do three meets

Greatly increase my GPP work.

Get eating locked down.

Learn to use knee wraps.

Get a little bit of hypertrophy going.

Continue to get my form squared away.

Get better at foam rolling and stretching.

That should be enough to keep me occupied for the year.

good set of goals

I do wonder what “rucking” might be. I have two ideas, one more likely than the other given the context.

Thanks, I always worry about chasing to many differing goals but I figure as long as I keep the numebr one goal in sight I won’t go to far astray.

Long distance marching under heavy loads.

What else did you think?

Arm Day

Dips

8x BW+55
8x BW+100
6x BW+115 (+1 rep PR)

CGB

8x135
7x170
4x185
3x195

Seated DB Row

8x50
8x55
6x60* After this set I barely made it to the men’s room before becoming violently ill.

Alt Curls

8x35
8x40
6x45* Here I started to get really light headed and had to lay down between sets.

Standing EZ Curls

12x70
9x80
6x90

I’m really very glad I had my tolietry bag in my gym back after getting ill.

6x BW+ 115

That is commitment to the workout: puking and then coming back for more.

I hope you are feeling improved.

Good luck with this one. If you figure it out, lemme know.

I think Kimba is confusing rucking with rutting. Kinda surprised rutting didn’t make the list, Joe.

I felt fine fifteen minutes after I walked out of the gym, very odd.

Will do, when I’m lifting I look like I lift and then it just vanishes when I stop.

Sadly rutting isn’t something one can do by themselves.

Yeah but think of all the money you could make hustling, going into bars and challenging the biggest guy there to a weighted dip competition.

ROFL, “Well I just happen to have a dip belt here so if you want to wager on it,”

Joe-

Great dips and great persistence! Nice set of goals: I wish you great success in achieving them!

Married guys shouldn’t be having this problem. Is there some health reason that this is an issue? Cause if not, this is rather an unsustainable situation for a life-commitment such as marriage.

If that is too nosy/personal a question, feel free to ignore me.

Shit, can I get in on this Dear Abby action? Is this a free service or do I need to buy a subscription?

All you men: Tell your wives to lift heavy weights. I swear that has stoked my libido more than anything.

Wave 2- Cycle 4-Week 1-Day 2

Deads

5x235
5x270
5x310
1x355
1x375

V-bar pulldowns

8x160
8x180
8x200
6x210

Face Pulls

12x57.5
12x65
12x72.5

HS Low Row

8x 120.side
8x 130/side
7x 140/side

Form was poor on the 1x355 and dwon right craptastic on the 375 rep. I got caught up with all the cues getting set up for 375 then got pissy and just picked it up, very stiff legish. I should have just banged out 1-2 more reps on teh money set.

1x355

1x375

Sorry about the shitty angle.
