I Have Nothing to Declare but My Genius

they were damn close if they weren’t there…

nice squattin’

They were close. The first one may have been good. The second was just parallel to my eye.

The belt looks orange on my monitor. I like it.

Not really no, only DL’s tend to cause stiffness. Why do you ask?[/quote]

I thought I had read that your back was buggin you. Your squat form looks good.

Joe, good squatting. If you are looking for USAPL depth for a meet, to be safe, you might want to try for another inch. After pausing it a few times, I think the first one was legal and the second one was cut just at parallel, but both were very close and it just depends on the angle of the judge. I am not sure what fed you are looking at competing in, but I have noticed that some of those USAPL judges really want you to bury them. But another inch should not be that big of an adjustment, those looked like solid squats.

You my back has been bugging me but its only DL’s that seem to do it. Oh and some times I can’t figure out any reason for it to be stiff at all.

Thanks, I’m going to try and drop them an inch or two just to be sure. I’ll be lifting in the SPF at first because they do a lot of stuff relatively near by.

Thanks for the input, when I first started doing the videos it showed me at wasn’t as low as I thought and its been a bit of a struggle to “re-learn” depth.

Had a stiff back myself lately and put it down to deadlifting. Then did some googling and started doing hip flexor stretches and instant relief. Apparently tight hip flexors pull on the lower back. Might be worth discounting.

Great work, Joe. Looks like everything is moving in the right direction.

thanks Skip, doing my best. Well or close to it.

Boy I hope not. He was actually waiting to do something like 1/4 weighted dips.

I need more chain so the weights don’t have to be so high up and my “fiddling” isn’t so Freudian. Though I am highly ID oriented.

I like the exercise selections for your arm day. No pussy pushdown or concentration curls.

Go ahead and pick my fornm apart. I can already tell my hips weren’t low enough. You go a couple of months without pulling and it all goes to shit.

Joe its great that your back is up to pulling again. I am really sensitive to back rounding because I work so hard to banish it from my own lifting. That is more rounding then I would like to see. Are you focusing on keeping a back arch when you pull?
