Yea man, that’s some old bullshit … no one worth their weight in iron would use that excuse. It’s either “yea man no problem” and proceed to speed the process up a bit by helping each other remove and add weight OR “I have 2 sets left … I’ll be done in a couple minutes if you don’t mind waiting” … clowns.
without safety equipment
@twojarslave as a tangent, how long have you been practicing?.
True, from a business standpoint. I would like to think gym exist for some reason other than corporate greed (at least for the commercial/franchise places) but I am not that naive.
I have wanted to open my own gym in the past, but I think my desire to have only active members would hinder my profits.
I pay $33 a month for 24 hour fitness.
I pay $30 a month to use Iron Warrior Gym 2x a month (daily passes)
I also have a home gym which is pretty barebones.
Honestly there are 3 reasons I have a 24 hour fitness.
When I travel there is usually one in a close enough distance
The amenities - it’s nice to hit a pool, sauna, etc once in a while
I hate the 24 Hour Fitness near me. The managers and staff a buncha assholes, but my dad might start going there so I might drop in here and there to to show him what to do.
I usually don’t train when I travel. I was keeping an extra gym in DC for 20 a month, but they closed down.
I workout at home and think my home gym is pretty awesome. Still want more equipment but I have everything I need.
I also have a 24/7 membership I just use to tan sparingly, never worked out there. I’d love to find an awesome cheap gym with a bunch of hot chicks walking around
