You early morning people and your complexes! Dream? More like nightmare. If you ever read in my log that I have done complexes, please call the guys in the white suits with the butterfly nets (but tell them to bring bigger nets) because I will be in dire need of some help.

Wait. I’m confused. DCA said the darkside was powerlifting. He didn’t say anything about complexes ![]()
I thought comlexes were for endurance and fat burning. Both of which I am severely allergic to.
We did some complexes a couple weeks ago and I almost lost my lunch right on the gym floor. Strong work, OG.
As we age and continue to hit the iron; shoulders can, for most, become an issue at one time or another. here is link to quick but good article from Cressey:
Hope it helps those in need.
JJack- Thanks, and they are indeed brutal…I get that same feeling nearly everytime I do them…
LS- Complexes are the dark side of the dark side.
Did 4x6 7 lifts with 90lbs this AM…I know I am at work now but my body is still slumped over in the corner of the gym…gee, I hope a gym bunny comes by to revive me!!
Threw in single leg planks, side bridges, tall kneeling chops, captains chairs,
ended with 12 minutes on the bike (moderate) pace…
Tomorrow is BP day and I need a good showing…that JWilly character is breathing fire in his new gym and is banging out numbers!

…I have complexes about powerlifting…
Way to go on the complexes Goat. I have taken a break from them for a while. I’m thinking I’ll start back again after a while. As for banging out numbers… Shit! I’m just trying to keep up with the rest of the strong cats around here.

Goats is lifitng strong, and ISO certified… WOW! Yep the early morning work should give us bonus points
Nice work, OG!
ISO audits suck!
Solid work OG; impressive bench work.
250 x 5 is solid, OG.
Thanks guys! A lotta to wood chop yet, but a decent cycle with some progress.
Squat day (15 inch box)tap and go
185x5, 205x3, 230x7
Goblets 4x10x85
GM’s 4x10x95
hammer curls 2x10x30 1x10x35
10 minutes elliptical and goat cried uncle! Man o man I am beat up and spent…need to get some reasonable sleep and get the protein intake up. Its either that or put in a big dip, swallow a gallon of high test coffee and see what that does.
So the goat survived and gets a deload week as the prize. Going to set-up benches in the power rack ( like my friends SD and LS) with saefty bars during deload to get the pin heights right and to get the feel so next cycle I can push a little harder knowing I wont get crushed if my ego jumps in. Cycle 4 should be interesting.
In cycle 4 my deload will be X-mas week so that works out great. I was thinking of using the back half of deload and 1st part of the following week to test 1RM’s and see what 4 cycles produced. Which would set up Cycle 5 for Jan. Any reason why that would be a bad idea?
Have a kick ass weekend, bang the iron- Peace
Good training Goat. I’m looking forward to your next cycle. I’m moving to the power rack this week with my bench. 280 with now spotter is kind of hairy for me.
Goats, coffee and dip at 5 AM… THAT is way hardcore!!
Good lifting today OG, enjoy your weekend.
Nice lifting and wood splitting. What do you dip?? When I was younger we chewed kodiak. I think I’d pass out then throw up if put a dip in. Now a fine cigar is a different story.
