Wife and daughter just left for Virginia/DC for a week…trade show for my wife, site seeing in DC , school visits and my daughter has a tournament next weekend in Va. My son will have ankle surgery on the 25th and will not be permitted to play sports for 6 months…that should be interesting…well I guess he can focus on school work…yeah right!!!

Makes me wishing i had somewehere to keep a big tyre to fip around and bash around with a sledgie.
Really getting into conditioning and thats the next thing i want to add in.
Zarcher slosh pipe routine sounds unusual–is the pipe a home made jobbie ??
could have gone higher on Inclines but not pushing my shoulder just happy to do them after a year of having to do them close grip. So as you can see I am still wandering through training and just decided to screw around with some singles today…
BN- its a 10ft piece of PVC pipe filled 3/4 full of water and capped on each end. It only weighs 37-38lbs…but the water movement and having to fight against the constant change gives you a helluva an ab workout and if you pick up and press it overhead its a trip!! you end up looking more like a drunken sailor as you wobble and twist…if you google “Dan John slosh pipe” you will get a better idea.
Thanks for dropping in.
Elaikases thanks for stopping by…slowly winding back up, but the progress is there.
45 min dog walk…they were wired and ready to roll…two gorillas against 1 old goat its just not right!
Squat Day- oh brother are you sure that leg extensions arent just as effective…come on, maybe close? …
Fronts( tap and go 13 inch box)
135x8, 155x6, 165x5, 175x2x2, 185, 190

pull throughs
150x10, 170x8
Time to mow the lawn and then make camp by the pool…
Yonkey- Thanks, I am following your log as well
BN- if you do it you will love me or hate me…its fun and hard and frustrating all in one…good luck…I’ll be checking you log for updates.
No gym this AM… Going to be a tough week for me…with the Mrs away I have the dogs early AM ( my schedule) and late at night ( Mrs Goats schedule)…and they got me up at 2:40 because they are bit out of sorts without the “TREAT” queen in the house! If I get to the gym, probably just do speed work…and if not I have the Slosh and tire to work on…
Quads and glutes are sore from yesterday…must have been better than I thought…

Just having a good time wandering through the sessions…going to be in the low 90’s and humid as hell here today…if I could have only worked from home…damn…
Thanks Joe and Kevin…meet me poolside, I will supply the beers!!!
About as much desire and Umpf today as a snail in sunshine.
5 min t-mill, foam, mobility work…
Rack Pulls ( from knee) Snatch grip
135x10, 225x5 275x3 ( zero grip today) 225x5,3
Conv
315x5, 355x3, 385, 405, 415x1,1, 315x5
Hammer Curls
10x30dbs, 8x35, 5x40
GMs just bar for a good stretch…bunch reps a couple of sets…
Upper 70’s at 4:30Am and sticky on its way back to 90…we dont have central AC in our house…thankfully my wife and daughter are away or I would be the most hated man in America!
Brett- I apologize for the misleading way I wrote the post. The Conv’s were also rack pulls from the knee and not full deads…and no I am not 170 dripping wet: I am a very thunderous 175 (he laughs), albeit soaking wet with a roll of nickels in my pocket!(he laughs some more).
No real significance with goats other than they seem to be independent, sometimes awnry and head strong and opportunistic…qualities that my wife claims to fit me to a “T”.
135x6, 155x2, 165, 175, 185x0 not a freakin’ chance…who cares it will go soon enough…155x4, 135x7
Incline BP ( paused)
155x8, 175x5, 185x3, 195, 205, 215,
chins random, 5,5,5,5,5,
side laterals ( prehab very slow with a hold at the top)
3x9x15lb
175 MP is BW so that seems to be holding even though I have no plan at the moment…so thats kind of fun…The paused 215 is PR I have done 230 without a pause but the 215 is a new one…there is more there at least another 10 anyways. shoulder a little sore but a little bio freeze will kill that…Have a great weekend ALL.
Just catching up on your log OG. Forgot about a slosh pipe, wanted to make one for myself thanks for reminding me. Great lifting going on in here, especially impressive at 175lbs.
DDAY thank you very much… being the resident light weight in the shark tank is always fun…so many strong, strong folks in these woods that just getting to hang out here is fun!
I have a new favorite odd implement exercise: cinder block carries… just brought 8 of them up the driveway, up a slope, around the house, down a small slope and another 20 yards, 1 in each hand, obviously thumbless grip and my forearms are asking me why? my hands are tired my heart got pumping…I "m claiming it as a trademark…its called Goat Walks… it will be the rage in gyms across America and I will be legend!! well at least my grip might improve…
