I know the feeling about not leaving any in the tank for later in the session. Seems that happens to me a lot lately. Damn good lifting OG

As I recall, you were sending it to me. I just didn’t know it would take several days to arrive.
Let me get 1 more decent workout in and I will send it back.

And nice bench session.

Thanks JW and Strick!

dead day…and man was I! got home from Chicago last night around 9:30, talked to the wife and kids, watched 20 minutes of hoops with my daughter and went to bed.

A boring workout is much better than no workout. Although, it doesn’t look too boring to me.
I really admire those of you who travel more than once a year and still get the work done. Really makes me feel ashamed about being happy with myself for getting my workouts done after travelling 5 days a week, to work…all 15 miles round trip

Jack thanks for asking. Last night he opted for Fairfield Uni in Ct… (donations to the cause are welcome!) Chose them probably because at Fairfield its 65/35 girls to guys thanks to the nursing college!!! The oddest part about this is college is still 18 months away…and right now you can only “verbal”. You cannot sign an official offer until July 1st but its nonetheless real .

Me and Mrs Goat are thrilled for him; its a much better school than he could have ever hoped for academically. He will get every opportunity to play as a Freshmen, the coach really likes him, and its 3 hours from home so i wont have to get Mrs Goat an apartment next to campus!! I can make games and he can get back here when he is too lazy to do his own laundry…and there is a beach on Long Island sound 2 miles from school!! So we have to keep our grades solid and stay out of jail…more grey hair on its way!!

Now to start the process with my daughter!

Peace

You have a wise son with his heart in the right place. Congrats

Congrats, OG. I wish I had been so thoughtful in my decision making.

That’s great! And as long as the grades are solid, I think one or to short stints in jail would be acceptable. It is college, after all.

Thanks JW, Strick and Jack…we are all still buzzing about the decision

MP Day

6x105, 4x125, 8x145 Rep PR +1 ( and I am claiming victory…a few of my lacrosse friends showed up at my place last night to celebrate the college gig, we ended up sitting by the fire outside until way past my bed time and I consumed a few (way) too many frosties)

3x155, 2x155, 2x160

face pulls
3x10x90

chins
10, 7, 7, 6, 5,5,5,

shoulder was tender so I passed on dips and called it a day.

Its now deload time and there a couple of things I did this cycle that I believe really worked out for me…I dropped from 4 days week lifts to 3 days…really feel much better and did manage a few rep PR’s in the cycle. I also did not lift on back to back days instead I inserted an extra Cond/core day that I think also aided in my recovery…just sharing thoughts incase it helps someone.

One more cycle of 6/4/2 and then I am either going to switch it up to 7/5/3 or go back to 5/3/1…a coin toss will decide.

weight: 176…must have all that beer…look out Strick I am gaining you!!!

Peace- have a great SUnday

Looks like it, OG. Only 110# to go and you will have caught me! I think that mj might agree with me that 285-295# is the perfect weight for lifting and throwing…

Nice work on the MP. And sitting around the fire enjoying adult beverages sounds like paradise.

Enjoy your deload OG. You made some huge strides

just wait until you have to paint over that room. my daughter had dark purple walls and a teal ceiling (deep green carpet). It took 2 coats of Kilz and 2 coats of the neutral top coat to cover it.

My daughter put a black, pink, and gray checkerboard pattern about halfway up the wall all around the room. The rest was gray and pink. Hope she stays happy with it for the next 4 years.

Sounds like your son has his head in the right place. Mine listened to mom. One has already dropped out, the second just started.

Keep training hard and giving us small guys a good name.

SD-Ah, a fellow painter with all the joyful experiences that come with it! I have walked that walk many times!

Carl- Here is to hoping she doesnt want it changed! Thanks for dropping in and YES us sub 200lb guys need to look out for each other. We are outnumbered in these parts! Love the vids on thread by the way.
