Oops, feel asleep at the wheel yesterday and didn’t post. ( politically correct talk for an OldGoat memory lapse).
yesterday was Deads (sumo)
180x5, 205x5, 230x15 (Pr +2). needed O2 for about 20 minutes. OldGoats are not aerobic creatures!
Snatch grip rack pulls (3inch below knee) 10x2x205, 9x1x205, 6x3x205…no more grip and my back was tired from standing for 7 hours on Sunday.( watching my son play lacrosse)
Power Curls: 3x10x105lbs…more 02…
Today was a non-lifting day
BB Complex 4x6x85
Intervals 14 min 15sec/45sec cruise
Wave white flag…turn tail and head for the showers

LS - Thanks…I plan on chasing you with the MP’s. Notice I didn’t say catching you! If I need to I will pull the age card to protect my fragile ego.
SD- Thanks Dog, looking forward to reading your meet results. Big time stones doing that!
Chase away! I am doing the same thing! It helps with the motivation. Hopefully you will soon catch, and pass, me.

LS- With the #'s that you are throwing up…catch? pass? I like your sense of humor though!
Ecogenix and I are having a similar exchange, as he has numbers that I am chasing. The problem is, the d@mned target keeps moving Your numbers go up…my numbers go up…his numbers go up. It’s all good, though. We’ll all be just a bunch of really strong guys forever pushing the numbers higher…until we can’t anymore.
LS- Alright then, but I equate this to a marathon and you and Eco are Kenyans and I am just a local runner. The longer the race goes the more I fall behind…but if you trip…I have hope…I will push as hard as I can but I doubt either of you would be fearful! It is however all good!! psyched you checked in. And I share your love of the MP…favorite of mine.
Eco- about halfway between Boston and the Cape…where OldGoats herd.or is that hide?
Kenyan? Nah… English, Scotch-Irish, 50% German and a smidge of Cherokee
There was a time when someone moving past me would have frustrated me. Anymore, more power to them. I am doing my own thing and see it more as competing against myself and age. As I said several months back, I enjoy seeing others hit PRs and jump forward about as much as I like doing it myself. Unless, of course, they are egotistical pricks…but I have yet to run across one in this group. Great bunch of folks they are.
Chi-town, Thanks brother…I think what i will do first is go to a meet and see how it rolls. Kinda like sticking your toe in the water to check the temp! Thanks for checking in.
Joe- Thanks…I go through ups and downs with cardio. Sometimes I am rock steady and then other times it slowly disappears from my radar. Actually one of my hopes from posting was that it would bring some consistent cardio effort into my routine. I need it, Goats are not known for their lung capacity!
Jwilly- Thanks, arose at 0430… I am ashamed at my laziness!

Stricks aren’t known for good cardio either. It is by force of will. Fortunately, once it becomes habit, I feel guilty for not doing it. Guilt is a great motivator.
Nice work, OldGoat. The operative word being progress. My old ball coach used to say, “You’re either moving forward or moving backward. You never stay the same.” Looks like you’re moving in the right direction.
