Finishing off my second wave tonight. So far, have only been doing squat, bench press, and deadlift as my core exercises, will probably add military press later. Just started doing them a couple weeks ago so I need an idea for a working max.
Went to the field at 5AM and did some sprints instead of doing cardio at the gym…DANGER WILL ROBINSON, DANGER!
Strick- Thanks alot I appreciate the encouragement.
JW-Thanks,
Snoack- thansk for stopping by
The 6x25 no problem, the 4x50 (problem…First 2 went Ok and then the lungs starting looking for a timeout…the 2x75 well lets just say that it would be an insult to anyone who actually does sprint training for me to say they were sprints; I prefer to call them a highly accelerated jog!
I didn’t time rest intervals I just trying to go when I felt I was ok…A couple more tmes and then I will start incorporating set rest periods. Grabbed the slosh pipe did a 75 yrd zercher carry and decided I was crazy and that was it; except for one small problem…the slosh pipe was now over 100 yards from my truck! Good planning you dumb Goat.
I hated these so much, I have to do them again, again.
Be interesting to see how much juice it zaps out of me for tomorrows lifts…
Sounds like a great morning…for a masochist. Your wife is going to start wondering about you and the slosh pipe
I just can’t relate to you early morning folk. I mean, I normally get up between 5:45 and 6:15. But I can’t imagine doing something that early in the morning. Even when I do steady state, in the a.m., it isn’t until 6:45 - 7:00. Props to the lot of you.
Nice work with the sprints. I also have a problem calling them sprints, but have decided that no matter how slow they are, they qualify as a sprint if they are at a pace that I can’t keep up for more than 200m.
You have become very close to the slosh pipe(as Skip said). If you name it I’m going to start getting worried. I am seriously impressed with your dedication. 5 am sprints, crazy.

JW- Thats the beauty of 5am sprint; the sun isn’t up yet so no one can laugh at my times.
UN- I agree. hey I tried some SLRDL’s with the bar…It went much better than with DB’s…Thanks for the tip.
PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT: Sprints are evil…my eyebrows hurt! Actually my ankles ( going to have to steal some of sons elastic ankle braces to help), calves and right hip are screaming at me…I set a PR getting out of bed…it took 11 minutes to get upright with my feet on the floor, behold the awesomeness of me!
Week 2 Day 3 CGBP ( good thing you get to these lying down!)

3x200
7x225 pretty pleased with that.

2x15x75 started to feel the lack of energy…

Great work, OG. 225x7 is strong CGB. The entire workout looks good. And even more impressive given the lack of umph and additional soreness.

3x205
4x230 lack of effort
Pull trhoughs

Incline DB curls for Mrs Goat
3x10x35
Lots to do tomorrow, motorcycle ride early, Sammy the slosh pipe needs a workout, train dogs, fix steps which are falling apart ( ah, more brick work, oh joy), mow lawn and clean truck inside and out…other than that, R&R.
Really nice work, OG. Does the “Incline DB Curls for Mrs. Goat” mean that she was doing the curls? Or that you are jacking your biceps to woo her?
After my core issues, with the millies, I was thinking of following your lead and doing some walks while holding a weight over my head. As fate would have it, it is raining all weekend
ECO- Now you’re on board!! You definitely need to get a Sammy, though!!
JW- Bummer on the bike thing…its going to be a perfect bike weekend up here (sunny and low 70’s)…I hope to log 300-400 miles…need to get some seat time!
Strick- the curls definitely fall into the wooing dept. But to date unsucessfully so!! I moved further down the attention chain with the addition of two pups who are already treated like royalty by Mrs G. And overhead carries = ouch.
