I Don't Warm Up, I Don't Stretch

Define “pudding”.

I think he’s one of the developers of ARX, so yes, he must have.

How do you know he didn’t spend 20 years building his physique with more traditional approaches? You don’t know that at all.

Arnold must have built his physique with machines. Probably HIT. Darden even talks about Arnold and HIT in his book.

I don’t know. I know I like to judge things by trying them. Ultimately it’s rigorous resistance training that builds muscle. ARX is an advanced tool for resistance. Do you know what technophobia is?

Nothing wrong with that if you can be objective. You see a picture of a guy with a solid build and assume he must have built it with ARX because that’s what he’s using in the picture. I see an older guy that probably spent a good amount of time under a barbell and has now pivoted to ARX for what could be a number of reasons including $$.

Nope. I’m going to guess a phobia of new technology, which I doubt anyone here suffers from.

Cool, man. This should really take off then since it works so much better than a barbell or dumbbells.

It is. Better safe than sorry

I don’t.

Ya, I gathered that…

That’s one perspective I suppose. One I’m thankful not everyone, including myself, agrees with.

So do you agree that warming up is not always necessary?

I’m glad that you have found something that satisfies you.

Don’t be surprised that the majority of people on a website dedicated to the pursuit of strength and muscle (with a representation of bodybuilders, physique athletes, powerlifters, Strongmen, and “I-lift-kinda-heavy-weights-in-my-garage” guys) are unimpressed if you can’t produce something that one or more of us feel are actually worth emulating.

Necessary for what?

*I think it’s necessary for barbell work. I think it’s necessary for sprinting. I don’t think it’s necessary before an afternoon stroll.

OP, I’m curious, when you started using ARX how much could you ARX deadlift versus now 9 months later. How much have you improved your ARX deadlift?

I agree. This is an excellent tool for elderly, physically limited folks, and those unable or uninterested in training with a barbell. In fact, I just googled Tony Robbins discussing the machine, and he markets it as “60 seconds to MOMstrong”.

I’m not sure what my Mom’s eccentric leg press max is, but I would bet the ARX would be a safe, effective way to increase her numbers.

*Not gonna lie, it does seem neat as fuck, though.

It is unfathomable lack of success with a multivariate training-assisted/unassisted (enabled) tool that promotes stagnation and loss of extrinsic motivation. Does this answer your question.

I’m pleased with your replies.

You must know then that gaining results takes time and dedication.

I’ll show you, it’s tracked all of my exercises
