Yeah, we need to see your deadift to see how well this works.
I can tell you a story about a guy (my brother) who could “bench” a couple of plates (on a machine) then mstruggled to push out a 40kg lift on an actual bench.

Earlier, when @Frank_C made this point a few posts upthread:
OP replied that this was a strength of using the Super Strength-o-matic 3000:
Most of those posting here, even we barbell-squatting-and-deadlifting enthusiasts, would acknowledge that there is a place in the broad world of strength training for machines, isometrics, and the like. However, the OP did not explain this piece of context at all in his initial posts re: no need for stretching and/or warming up, and continues to cleverly ignore any post challenging him that he cannot adequately refute (such as “Can you produce an example of anyone that achieved something meaningful using this approach as their primary training modality?”)
I’m so confused. If you apply maximum resistance throughout the movement how do you use 85% of your 1RM for a warm-up?
I still don’t think we can rule out the OP being a brilliant sales rep for ARX.
Act I: make an ludicrous statement that will attract users to the thread: “warming up isn’t needed”.
Act II: have the foresight to put out, at just the right time, that your max lift of choice is an “eccentric leg press”. This adds confusion and intrigue, and sets up the thread to move towards machines several moves ahead.
Act III: finally, throw out there that you use machines as your primary workout equipment. Let that sink in with the audience for a bit, which effectively removes the “I don’t warm up” argument from being the central point, as it is now moot because of course we assumed you were talking barbell lifts (as this is T Nation).
Act IV: with a full audience of users wanting to know: “How the hell do you even test an eccentric leg press max?”, pull back the curtain and reveal…
Act V (the final act): The ARX machine!.. with video links, endorsements on being sold “the first time” you used it, and an infomercial-style endorsement of its effectiveness. I’m surprised there were no links to purchase or lease one.
You, sir, will be Employee of the Month at ARX.
I think he just goes slower so the numbers are less than 410 when he’s ‘deadlifting’ with the Lift-o-matic 3000 Gen 2.0. Jedi’s have exceptional mind muscle connection.
I think you have to actually sell one to be the employee of the month no? I’m not buying one…
According to some random blog post:
Fuuuuuuuck that.
Good summary. Problem is he picked the wrong audience for his pitch and not one machine will be sold for all his efforts. He needs to wander into a senior citizens forum where gains are measured in chair-rise-ability; not how many wheels are on the bar.
The next great business film. It will be put up there with the likes of Glengarry, Wolf, Kane, Wall Street and the like.
You should give the ARXfit a try, you could probably beat Eddie Hall’s deadlift record.
Only $750/month?
Heck, a Tesla X costs almost $600/month to lease and won’t do shit to improve my deadlift numbers! I’m thinking of putting an ARX in both my garage and living room, so I can get “the perfect rep” wherever I happen to be.
I heard, but cannot confirm, that Screech (of Saved by the Bell fame) will play the OP.
I stand corrected.
ARX is nonsense, they are selling an old product under a new name. It was called an isokinetic machine back in the early 80’s, maybe as far back as the 70’s.
I’d like to believe you, but the ARX website says it’s “the future of exercise”, and Tony Robbins has a long-winded quote that endorses it.
More like “back to the future” of exercise
“Marty, we need max resistance throughout the strength curve to reach 1985!!!”
I read that as ‘Morty’ in Ricks voice, give it a shot. It hits.
If we can channel the energy from the eccentric leg press into the flux capacitor…
Lol, I almost typed Morty!
*Love that show
