I Do What I Want 2010

thanks for the advice ladies!

as coincidental as it sounds… i’ve spent more time coloring in the last three weeks, than in the rest of my life combined. i’m a nanny 3 days a week for 3 little kids… and we’ve all picked up a newfound coloring addiction. it’s seriously like therapy. and so fun to do while you talk to the little ones. love it.

i’ve also been reading quite a bit.

so seems like i’m on the right track.

i went to check out a room to rent yesterday and loved it. should hear if i get it today. :fingers crossed:

then i’ll force myself to get a gym membership and try to be more social the next couple months. by december i should definitely have lots more free time. yay!

Sounds like you had to take a moment, but that generally you are moving forward and making an awesome future for yourself. A gym membership would probably be highly, highly entertaining for you.

i didn’t think of that… comic relief justifies having to pay to workout! lol

yesterday i got in a bunch of sets of deficit deadlifts.

after the front squats the day before and those yesterday my whole core is hella sore today.

i’m only gonna have access to weights at home for the next week or two so i’m not really worrying about writing down workouts and just doing whatever i feel like.

today i’m making soap all day so i’ve been doing different lifts in between batches.

so far it’s been military press, power shrugs, box squats, and bb step ups. good times.

gonna go check out gyms and sign up for one next week. my plan for the next two months is to become a complete gym rat. cardio and all. need to wear myself out and carve out some abs. i figure with the added cardio i can eat a little more and still get some good results.

life is still pretty much a clusterfuck.

i found a room to rent for the next two months.

have a super expensive dentist appointment tomorrow.

just gotta keep on keepin on.

You are so cool. You’ve kept your cool through so much-and such FOCUS-very inspiring!

Looks like my post went poof

darn.

anyway, moral of the story is that you’re really cool, and your focus is really inspiring. Oh, and coloring is the shizzle. Getting in touch with one’s inner child is good for the soul.

thanks pluckster. (just fyi posts show up about 15 minutes late in this here log)

quick check in. first night in the new place. still haven’t gotten signed up at a gym. super busy with work and trying to get moved out. gonna be swamped for another week or so and then shit should slow WAY down. can’t wait!

I can’t wait for things to slow down for you.
I’m sure we all wish life came with that pause button

Hey Deja…sounds like things are kinda going as planned. Keep on Keepin on!!

Hey Deja! Glad to hear your getting things in order. Slowing down is always a nice change of pace. Hang in there mama!

Great to hear from you! Right there with you on hoping life will slow down starting next week.

yei Deja! I hope you get settled and situated all comfy style  Its good to see you again!

just poppin my head in to say Hai!

well i’m officially moved off of the farm.

it’s a sad day and i’ll definitely miss it… but it’s also a new beginning.

starting a serious lockdown on nutrition and fitness this month.

should have more time to hang around here too. i miss ya’ll. =+)

Cheers to New Beginnings!

Your starting this upcoming new year fresh. Keep a positive spin on things and an open state of mind.
and on days when shit hits the fan kick your own ass in the gym and sleep like the dead. Nothing like a night’s sleep to put things in their proper perspective.

I lift a virtual glass and toast to your new beginning! What wonderful adventures you will have.

are you still in Cali for a bit?

Wishing you the best for the rest of the year…and hope the new one brings lots of happiness!

sorry kimba… ur arms must be tired from having to hold that glass so long!

yah i’m still in cali until at least the end of january. then i’m most likely going to europe for 6-8 weeks after that. might as well since i’m hoping to lock down a career position when i get back and it’ll likely be my last chance to have the freedom to hit the road for such a long chunk of time.

plus when i started comparing costs of traveling around the US it was going to be as spendy, if not more so, than a plane ticket to barcelona. and i have a few people to stay with over there, and i figure it looks decent on a resume, etc. etc. so yup… that’s the plan. gonna sell my rig and buy a plane ticket sometime in january. so stoked!

in fitness news i FINALLY signed up for a gym. and i absolutely love it. it’s a “keypad” entry type gym that’s open 24 hours and mostly unstaffed. has everything i’d hope for (except chains, bands, and a ghr) and the couple of times i’ve been in there it is literally me and 1-2 other people TOPS. in the whole place. it’s AMAZING. they have tons of different size boxes, a rig to do def deads off of, a belt for weighted dips/pullups, a nice cage and a rack, etc etc.

so of course i had to overdo it the last couple days and am now all domsy. but i lurve it. good times coming in this hood.

i got pretty fluffy (FAIL!!!) the last month too. it’s hard when you know you’re leaving the area because you try to enjoy all the good times with friends… i’ve got to reign that in. so yeah i’m locking down the diet. goal is lean, lean, lean.

Sounding positive and happy in here, deja! Frankly, I’d be stoked too if I was looking forward to a long European sojourn. YEAH!

And I agree with Kim, you do sound better. That’s good to hear, I hope your peace lasts as well
