you should give it a try. i think they’re the kind of thing that pays nice dividends when you first implement them.

bb hang snatch: 45 x 8; 55 x 8; 65 x 6
military press: 65 x 10, 10, 10
pullups: +15 lbs x 3, 2; bw x 6
hanging knee raises: bw x 12, 12
l-lateral raises: 12.5 drop set to 10 x 10/12, 10/12

now have a ton of work to do. including packing cheese for about 8 hours. which is all arms. and my arms aren’t really working atm. lol

this tall widmer pint glass full of apple juice is giving me the illusion i’m having a feisty friday.

been having wicked cravings for beer and junk food. been able to fight them… but it sure hasn’t been easy. the sober challenge ends on the 28th. 11 more days. i got this.

leaning out and getting stronger. bodyweight was 128 lbs on thursday.

workout:

deadlift: 135 x 8; 185 x 5; 225 x 2; 250 x 1; 275 x 1
power shrugs: 225 x 8, 8
bench press: 55 x 10; 75 x 8; 95 x 8; 115 x 6; 125 x 3
power clean/push press: 85 x 5; 95 x 4; 105 x 3

weight was around 130 most of the summer and then i’ve been eating at a dash of a deficit and really clean the last couple months. carb timing most of the time. so the fat’s slowing doing it’s thing and bouncin.

probably have another 6-7 lbs of fat i’d like to lose. and if i can manage to put on a couple of muscle i’ll probably end up around 123 when i finish cutting. that’s about normal for me when i’m rocking leandom.

bummer on the sleep. i can’t get enough sleep to save my life lately. and reading about the bear’s sleep fest made me teary eyed with jealousy. lol

so are you training people for work? did you have something lined up when you got out here or had to find something???

Yea my Ohio clients were freaking out about me leaving so I started training them through Skype. Now I only do online training and its pretty awesome!

We’re going to trade places in weight from last year. I was 135 yesterday and I’ve barely been eating. That will be funny if you’re 123 and I’m 135 this year. But you’ll still out-deadlift me! Dangit!

so i gave my boss/landlord notice i’m moving off the farm on dec 1. i’ll just rent a room in the area for a couple months while i save up for the trip east. it’s the only way i could think of that would get me out of all these insane, unsustainable hours. i just can’t say no and they were using me more and more and more. i’ll still do some work for the farm… but i definitely can’t be doing so 7 days a week like i am now.

gonna suck emptying an entire 3 bdrm house. and i’m gonna miss the hell out of my squat cage. cry!!!

in other news i’m still killing the sober challenge. today’s the 28th day dry. only 8 more to go. i could really use a cold one.

onto fitness shit…

squat day. well i was gonna just up the 20 rep squat set 5 lbs from last week’s 115, but i decided that i’d just go ahead and try a weight over my bodyweight and that if i hit the 20 then that would be the end of my workout.

since it was 9pm and the porch light was making the bugs come out… i was highly motivated.

back squat: 115 x 4; 130 x 20

the last few weren’t pretty but i got em. my ass is already sore. haha

i’m major stoked to knock that goal off the list. i anticipated not hitting it until my bodyweight was below 125.

That farming job sounds harsh. My FIL just quit the family farm after 35+ years. He’s much happier that he can live life now and sleep in til 7am :slight_smile: Like you said, he still helps and does random jobs for other people, but the beauty part is that he can say NO if he wants.
