hopefully it gets sunny here soon so i can start working on grabbing a bit of a tan.

speaking of looking forward to pics… i cannot freakin WAIT to see ur photo shoot results.

that is freakin awesome you are nailing your nutrition and your goals, woooooooooo-hoooooooo! i better wander to your other journal to check out your nutrition stuffs, i need some idears.

flo has been consistently visiting us at the same time. i didn’t have cravings, just some of the crummiest emotional swings EVER. i swear once i hit 35 the hormones came at me with a vengeance…quite annoying to deal with something i have so little control over.

great to see you so actively working on your flexibility issue-i’m glad it’s helping you. that will become my goal this month.[/quote]

aw we’re blood buddies. haha

sucks about the hormones and emotional swings. that’s never fun. the shitty part of being a lady.

now get working on ur flexibility and mobility before i have to whip ya. =+)

glutes are nice and sore from yesterday’s onslaught. reminds me to fire them often.

nanny duties today… but i brought over my heart rate monitor, workout pants, and 20 lb dumbbells so i’ll be sure to get some kind of “cardio” in.

yesterday’s carbs were nice for the energy. stuck with healthy carbs like banana, potato, milk, carrots, and some multi grain cheerios. still no cravings for junk. even though i’ve been watching food porn nonstop. =+)

i’m such a sucker for that diners, drive ins, and dives show on the food channel. the shit they show is just amazing. and the best thing i ever ate show is pretty bad ass too. get my naughty food rocks off for free. haha

Deja, awesome work woman!! You’re doing a really great job with the nutrition AND the workouts. Keeping things interesting and always putting in max effort. Seriously, keep up the great work!

“blood buddies” - I wish you could see my face right now.

haha, food porn is AWESOME!!!

I am also a blood buddy. We should just rename this subforum the Red Tent.

found your other log…250 pages!!!

the Red Tent…good one alisa!

well, deja, you’ve inspired me to follow a food plan for a bit, since i have to lay off the weights, i better tighten the diet up. going pretty much anabolic this week, which is relatively easy for me. even tracking mah shit in fitday…yeah for discipline!

um, i’m going to purposely NOT do flexibility and mobility stuff…

ok, i was lying, in hopes of getting a whipping from you. carry on with your hard work, woman!

lol @ the red tent. hahaha sick!

yeah the other journal is from the start of my “fitness” journey and is retarded long.

good deal! feed off the results you get and ride the momentum baby!

this was funny.

this ruined it.

so we were outside raking up the yard this morning and i decided to see if i could do some low (12") step ups with kali on mah shoulders.

last time she weighed herself (last week) she was 128.5 lbs.

went ok. much harder than a barbell though cuz the weight feels way more shifty.

i started off kinda awkward but got the feel of it after a couple reps.

my goal will be to do these to 16" or so.

alright i’m off to do some pressing. tata.

Awesome!

I dont think it would work as well, if say Kali was 6’5" and 240lbs…(my hubbys height/weight) teehee!

Oh that looks fun.

@ alisa… you know ur demented if that looks fun. welcome to the club!

w8ed pullups: +20 lbs x 3, 2, 2, 2, 2; bw x 4
behind neck presses: 55 x 10, 10, 10
hang clean/push press: 75 x 6, 6, 6
hammer curls on one leg: 15’s x 20, 18

haha, I guess he can get on my shoulders, just so I can see what it feels like…don’t think I’ll be doing any step ups tho! :stuck_out_tongue:

creative workout Deja- goes to show that whining about gyms is crap.

Deja, those step-ups were great! Your girl must really trust you alot to let you do that.

DDD is one of my favorite shows. I LOVE FoodTV despite the fact that I hate cooking and don’t really fixate on eating.

haha PLEASE get a pic. i’ll laugh mah ass off! =+)

thanks nlmain! yeah gotta make do with what ya have. although i still whine daily about not having a ghr. i’ve used a “trial” at gyms a few times just to use one. hhaah i’ve seen some guys that made their own but damn i think that might be out of my league.

omg it’s such an awesome show! food porn squared. lately i’ve been LOVING cooking and whip up some pretty good shit and then just cook a bunch of carbs on the side to feed my waify lady. haha

carb refeed day, deadlifts, and the superbowl. sounds like a trifecta of pleasuh. holla!

still haven’t decided if i’m going to drink a few beers or not. time will tell. not sweating it too much either way… but i’d probably be happier tomorrow if i didn’t wake up with EXTRA beer bloat.

Have a fun day!!

you lifting your waify lady…niiiiiice stuff! i love your creativity at home.

enjoy your carb refeed- you usually do one day? (yeah, i haven’t made it over to your other journal yet)

do you get vino bloat? imma gonna have some vino today, and crack.

yes, holla on the trifecta of pleasuh!! haaaaa haaaa

i’m doing each week a bit differently based on schedule… but something like

2 days low carb/low cal, 1 day lots of carbs around workout/medium calories

3 days low carb/low cal, 1 day high carb/high cal

then when i get tired of all the low carb days i’ll just have a few 33/33/33 days at medium low cals instead.

the biggest thing for me is ditching the booze and getting a clean streak going. i can be retarded disciplined… and so i try to really take advantage of the times when it feels “easy”.

spending a good 6 months a year “bulking” has helped make the cutting times that much easier too.

hopefully after this year i’ll manage to stay lean year round and spend most of the time eating right above maintenence.

crack = onion dip and ruffles or the real shit?? haha

enjoy miss T!!!

thanks Deja! yep, the booze is my limiting factor i’m sure. when you say medium calories, you mean maintenance?
and how many below is your low? (obviously i know the #s vary based on starting size+workout factor)

for what it’s worth, i think you were already lean, but i completely get the idea of you wanting to be leaner so you can stay at or above maintenance year round.

this will be a hard fought battle for me, but i’ve sworn that i will really give it my best effort this year and get to where i want. the moderate approach over the last couple years isn’t cutting it anymore. hopefully i can get there and then get to maintaining it.

yes, crack=ruffles and french onion dip…go Saints!

The awesomeness of your step-ups are beyond words - Love it!!

I hear ya on trying to maintain - for me that’s is equally challenging as dropping weight.

yeah maintenence is HARD. the hardest part is if you want more muscle mass. it’s hard enough putting it on as a woman… even in a big surplus… so the very, very slow gains are hell.

i’m such a cyclical person. in the summer/fall i want lots of fruit and carbs and beer and want to lift heavy weights and not stress on the bodyfat. in the winter/spring i’m obsessed with being lean and fit and have no cravings for carbs.

are you doing the AD, t?? i was on that for 6-7 months. LOVED it! til summer came around and i couldn’t keep mah hands off the fields of watermelons they grow on the farm. hit me up if you have any questions.

FF - B1

foam rolling, hip mobility, glute activation stuff
deadlifts: 155 x 8; 215 x 5; 250 x 5; 280 x 6
speed deadlifts: 240 x 3, 3, 3, 3, 3 (75 sec rests)
deficit deadlifts (4" box): 175 x 10, 10
hanging knee raises: bw x 12, 12

hell yeah!!! so stoked on the max set of deadlifts. the 5/5/5 day always kills me cuz that middle set is so hard and makes the money set hell. well i was able to hit my previous rep max for 5/5/5 day… so i’m REALLY happy to do that while on these low cals. hell yeah for losing fat and not strength!! i know i’ll lose some while on this cut… but the less the better.

after the second set of defecit deadlifts i dropped to the floor and laid there for almost 5 minutes before doing the hanging knee raises. they fucking KILLED mah legs. took every drop of will power i had to get the 10 full reps.

time for a ton of carbs.

i’ve decided i’m going to go to the inlaws for the game. i’m going to wear pants that are tight and will give me a muffin top to keep me conscious of what’s going in my mouth. i’ll have a couple beers and maybe a glass of whiskey. i’m going to spend the night over there since i have to watch the kids at 5am and their dad is going out of town tonight.

hope everyone has a perfect sunday!!!
