Hey, if getting bigger would make me stronger, count me in!
I want to be like Dave Tate.
Of course I want to be as big as I can, isn’t that the point? I just don’t know anyone who picked up weights for fun with a vision in their head of some well placed muscle but not at the cost of a balanced physique and not too much overall size. You pick them up to get big.
I just want to be a fucking beast who can toss heavy shit around like its nothing while mere mortals struggle with the puny stuff

There is also a class of weightlifters who don’t necessarily want to get big. These are the people have strength, not size, as their main objective.
I want to be some huge sci-fi muscle monster! I remember when I was a kid someone told me a story about a guy who could hold a quarter between his pecs, and I though that was the coolest thing I had ever heard.
I like physiques like Cutler and Coleman, I like seeing how huge people are getting in modern bodybuilding. Even if you don’t, do you think Arnold and Zane ever said “I don’t want to get too big?” I doubt it.

Imagine being in the gym and looking around and seeing these 3 guy in there at the same time!

For the record I don’t care or even disrespect anybody else’s individual goals, but I do think it says something about where our world is going that so many men find it fashionable to not want to be what was for so long seen as distinctly male. I’m not referring to any external standard either. Strength is a different story too.
