.
Grats, hope you’ll have fun using them :p. Give us some feedback.
Thanks ![]()
I can’t wait to squat in them tomorrow!
Excellent! Hope your planning on doing squats. Let’s hear a post-workout report.
Santa got me new oly shoes as well.
Just got back from my first workout in the new shoes.
Every lift felt much more stable. Going low on the back squat was a cinch. I even set a new PR. My knees went forward a little more than I wanted them too causing slight knee discomfort, but I guess it will just take some getting used to. Standing overhead presses felt solid as well as power cleans. I can’t wait to use them for front squats wed.
I put my ol’ chucks on to do a set of deads before leaving. Overall I am satisfied with them.

Good to hear. Don’t be so quick to dismiss them for deadlifts. You might find (as I do) that they actually make it easier to get into position and use the quads to break the bar from the floor.
And if you need any inspiration for doing deadlifts in olympic lifting shoes, check this out:

WOW!! Sweet pulls! I will definately have to give it a shot! Thanks ![]()
I’m glad to hear you like them. It does give a nice stable feeling doesn’t it?
I wish Santa would hurry the frig up with my squat suit.

Haha yeah, walking in regular shoes afterwards feels like walking on cushions. My mom says a belt is on the way too. Can’t wait to set a PR in that sucker. Did you say you have a sponsor or something?
Deadlifting in these shoes feels hella solid. They will be replacing my chucks!
that’s awesome man. I tried to get the same pair but they just have no more of them! So I got a differnt pair off of weightliftingshoes.ca
I can’t wait to get mine :)!
Since we’re on the topic (sort of)… I just recently (right about the time I got my first pair of oly shoes) began full squatting, i.e. way below parallel. Anyone else experience some knee “funkiness” (not pain, not even really discomfort) when they first started full squatting in oly shoes? Just tryin’ to get a handle on how long it’ll take to go away. The knee feels better, but I haven’t trained lower since Tuesday (it’s now late friday). Thanks!

The first time was weird. The next 2 times felt much better. I think it’s just getting used to squatting with your knees slightly more forward. Try a slightly closer stance may also help.

Also, check out the late Christmas present my mom gave me today!
Must be nice, man, my mother’s convinced I’m going to kill myself lifting heavy.
