I am Scarred for life! Holy Geez

Yeah, uh, I just watched the most horrifying and frightening movie I have ever seen. All the jason movies and the freddy movies combined can’t even come close to this one. Even Hellraiser isn’t as horrifying. The one monotonous thing about most if not all horror movies is the fact that they all have a ‘monster’. Well, this movie didn’t and it still scared the fuck out of me. What movie might you ask is this…Event Horizon. This is the most ‘messed up’ and evil movie ever. No movie can really describe or portray ultimate and pure evil, but this one comes pretty damn close. I still can’t get the sound that the Gateway makes out of my head (if you saw the movie then you KNOW what I’m talking about). One of my fav movies now. Anyone else see this thing? If not, GO. What are all of your “Most frightening movies?”

Larry Clark’s “Bully” has got to rank right up there. Haven’t seen it, but every review puts it basically into the slasher genre. My personal ones are “Left Behind” and the original “Hellraiser”. There have been quite a few movies that have creeped me out. I guess I’ve tried to forget about them. I’ll give it some more thought and get back to you.

Ok, I will rent it, but it couldn’t possibly be as fucked-up and twisted as “Prince of Darkness”

“My Best Friend’s Wedding”…AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!..AAAAAHHH
HHHHHHHH!!!..AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!..AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
(Sorry Girls, I can’t take another “chick flick!”)

That was a pretty creepy movie. My all time favorite is “Trilogy of Terror”… probably not actually as scary as I remember it being, but man did that movie freak me out when I was a kid.

Oh yeah, rent “Lost Souls”… now THAT is a creepy movie… especially the ending.

Watch “Deer Hunter” now that is a messed up movie.

The most frightening movie I saw was Sinbad starring Lou Ferrigno. There was a fight scene where Lou had to fight a clone of himself. I’m still having nightmares over that one.

I guess different people are scared by different things. When I saw Event Horizon I thought it was a rip-off of Hellraiser 4.

The scariest movie I have ever seen is “Body of Work” starring Bill Phillips, or better known as “The Attack of the Giant Head”. No movie has ever made me vomit more in my life.

maybe this is 'cause I was a kid when I saw it (I’m sure a large part of it was) but I go with Salems Lot, I just think if there ever was such a thing as a vampire it would look like that dude. in another human evil way (although not a “scary” movie) I’d say The Usual Suspects, kevin spacy was great as Keiser Sosa(sp?)

LOL Aaron. Body of Work is definately a shocker. The Excorcist didn’t scare me, but The Sixth Sense had me crapping in my pants. I definately have to see Event Horizon.

Salem’s Lot? It must have been because you were a kid. While it was a good movie it was also extremely funny. I’m not a horror fan but I laugh at most horror movies. Chuckie was probably the funniest.

keago

I went to the movie to see Laurence Fishburne, I stayed for the journey to hell, i didn’t sleep for a week, top notch film.

I am a horror movie freak.
My faves in no paticular order and excluding the excellent ones above already mentioned are…
John carpenters Vampires…Amityville Horror…House on Haunted Hill…The Omen…The halloween series…The Fridau the 13th series…The Night of the Living dead and all the spinoffs…Texas Chainsaw Massacre(all of them)

For horror movies too not just the scary ones rock, but the blatantly stupid ones are great as well.

I liked Event Horizon a lot too. It got really bad reviews but I have always been a big
Fishburn fan so I saw it any way. I think it freaked me out so much was because you totally
don’t see it coming. You get so used to people being attacked by space monkeys in most movies. I always liked the Evil Dead trilogy,Dead Alive( wasn’t scarey but you’ll laugh your
ass off), The Shinning, The Prophecy, Rosemary’s baby (kind of dated), The Changeling, and for some reason I really liked the Exorcist 3. If you want to read a book that was kind of freaky read Possessed by Thomas Allen. It’s about the case the movie and book the exorcist was based on.

if anyone has not seen the gratest “funny ones” ever you HAVE to see them, EVIL DEAD 1&2, and yea, I know salems lot was not “scary” I just think the vamp looked real evil.

Uh, maybe you guys should consider a cycle of Clomid (kidding). I’ve been startled watching movies but not frightened by one since I was 5 years old. I will however offer the most ‘disturbing’ movie I’ve ever seen: “Diary of a Serial Killer”. Its the true story of a guy in Texas that raped and killed about 60 girls. The flick includes scenes from his very fucked childhood. Those scenes still bug me 10 years later.

i love a good horror/scary movie. but i like them to be smart or witty usually.some good ones, ghost story, turn of the screw, the haunted, lair of the white worm, rawhead rex, prophecy, the legacy, hellraiser, the other, and any movie that has to do with any of h.p. lovecrafts books.lost souls was good. does anyone remember suspiria?

I like a good screamer, but the movie that left me thinkin and wakin up scared to death the most nights would either have to be Silence of the Lambs or Seven, probably Silence, that scene with the night vision goggles was intense, although Hannibal was kind of a let down, except for the museum in Italy, I liked the foreshadowing there

The scariest? Ron Jeremy’s last “flick”, where he’s obese and has white chest hair, etc, etc. …and he screwed…Veronica Brazil!!! Yikes!
