G’day - ive read a lil’ on the HSS-100 program for body-building, i think it could be well implemented as a basic MMA strength program. For example, say you do 2 workouts p/wk - 1 upper, 1 lower, you could choose specific exercises closer related to MMA than BB, switching between 2 programs on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to get a greater range of exercises in:
Upper Body (Chest / Arms)
Heavy: 3-5 sets, 5 reps (Decline bench)
Superset: 3 sets, 8 reps (Hammer curls / skull crushers)
Superset: 3 sets, 8 reps (Weighted dips / Weighted pullups)
Special exercise: 3 sets, 10-12 reps (Military Press)
100-reps exercise: 1 set, reps (Pushups)
Lower Body (Back / Legs)
Heavy: 3-5 sets, 5 reps (Deadlift)
Superset: 3 sets, 8 reps (GHR / Front Squats )
Superset: 3 sets, 8 reps (Back Squats / Lunges)
Special exercise: 3 sets, 10-12 reps (Single Arm Rows)
100-reps exercise: 1 set, reps (Boot-Scrapper Squats)
There’s probably better choices for exercises but these are my initial thoughts…
