Hey guys,
OK, so I’ve been on Androgel for a while now (has it been a year yet?) In any event, I was doing 5g a day, felt a little better, but not great, so the doc bumped me to 10g.
Aside from the royal bitch it is to try and figure out where to smear two packets of this shit on my skin (currently doing shoulders, upper arms, and trunk or inner thighs), I’ve noticed that since I jumped to 10g, my armpits are sweating profusely. Like, right through my antiperspirant and big fist-sized wet spots on my shirts. Not really sweating any more than normal from anyplace else.
So, this is probably a side effect of the HRT (I think I’ve read that), but I was wondering if maybe somehow it’s due to me putting all the gel around that area? Arms, shoulders, trunk, etc?
Anybody have a similar problem with any of the other methods of taking T?
Thanks,
Bob
i have been on Androgel for over a week now and I’m not getting anything from it. I believe I can absorb it. I am going to ask for the injections. From all the research I have done more people like the injection method of delivery. And you do not have to worry about getting it on your love ones. Or when you can sweat, swim, or take a bath. I mite be wrong and someone corret me if I am, but I think the gel converts to estrogen more. I am sure that both have there ups and downs just my 2 cents worth. I do have the sweating thing going on either. Good Luck
Sounds like you get it, jakeman.
Bob, it could very well be that the gel is at least indirectly the cause of the profuse sweating. Could be you’re making a lot of DHT from it. Does it smell different than normal? More pungent?
Good luck to both of you!

No, actually, it’s not pungent at all. Today for instance, my pits were SOAKED (had to make sure I kept my arms by my side all day at work, how embarrassing), but it may as well have been water for as bad as it smelled. Nothing!
Thanks,
Bob
