How's This For Mass?

Yes I’m stating that you won’t progress in squats if you squat three times a week with 75-100% of your max weight.
Are we talking 75-100% of a rep max or 1rm?

Because I have squatted 3 times a week with linear progress on SS.
Added 30kg in a month to my 5rm with considerable size gains.

Of course that was when I first started squatting properly and could only do that for a month due to busting my leg elsewhere.

I’m shocked at the mods to be honest, not any of the posters.

Based on his statements & screen name the fact that account is still active is kinda embarrassing for these boards IMO.

I didn’t pay attention to what he had to say about training. He could be right for all I know.
Perhaps you should run inside and tell the teacher?

Spare us the junior thought-police routine, dude.

You know, I’m trying to fit my head in my ass so I can see things from your perspective, but it just won’t fit… What is your trick?

But thanks for letting us know you are all for this board being littered with hate speech and ignorant drivel.

FUCK that is a stupid post, go back to lurking.

Wait, so because he doesn’t want the board filled with hate speech directed at Asians thrown out about as ignorantly as possible, this means he is the “thought police”???

What does that have to do with THOUGHT patrol? Once you post it publicly, it is no longer just in your head.

Maybe you are just too slow to realize that the offending posts were deleted.

You can click on report post if you find something objectionable, which is what I did. Making a post about it doesn’t help the admins at all.

I know you yanks are going through a “politically correct” fase right now, but when did I ever profess hate towards any Asians? It wasn’t even a week ago that I took my girl to the new Korean restaurant that opened down the street.

I was basically laughing at you because you said that random man coming to compliment you on your body was the reason you work out hard. And really, who’s to blame me for that?

And truth be told, my posts, now deleted, were far more helpful to the op than your all your drivel about people who only work 3 times a week not being serious about this sport.

Also, had you bothered to check my blog, you would know that I’m took up japanese martial arts.

Who gives a shit about whether YOU train 3 days a week or not? You can do whatever the hell you want to but don’t log in acting like only training 3 days a week is as effective to getting really big optimally as those who train more frequently.
Well 3 a week CAN be more effective than more frequently, depending on a lot of factors. It’s really ignorant and close minded to think your way is the only way.
I actually think that he’s right. A 3x a week program can be much more effective than one that trains more frequently (if the person designing the more frequent program has NO IDEA what the hell they’re doing).
It’s not just that, some people REALLY do not have the work capacity to workout more than three times a week.
Sometimes you just need to start “easy”.

Yeah yeah, it’s a “strength” program, I know.

How about madcow? no? Ok.

75-100% of 1rm and lets say you lift two weeks three times in a week. It’s impossible. There won’t be any significant progress. If there is it is due to overtraining and after two weeks you will lift less than your 1rm at the start.

Juanke, be careful trying to make absolute statements like this. In this case you are completely WRONG.

It is very possible to squat 3x per week with “moderate-heavy” weights and progress linearly for months. There are even programs, like some of Pavel’s and Dan John’s where you squat 5x a week.

Frequency and intensity are only part of the puzzle.

You guys have really turned a regular thread into a bitch fest haven’t you. Fair play.

I want more information on squatting toxins out of my system. I believe this might be one of the lost secrets of bodybuilding.

OT, we haven’t had much heavy hitting stupidity from the 10ers yet, aside from a confused over-assertive finnish kid who wants to have the last word. Could this be a sign?

Finally, someone on here needs to see the inside of his own skin while still alive. Once I know what I need, it will take a short while before that is arranged.

Hey bro dont you know you gotta squat super slow to flush out those toxins and make rooms for the growth hormone and testosterone. Five seconds up five seconds down, is the key. You dont want to use heavy weight though, anything over 66.974235644% is going to fry your Centrified Nervous System. Keep it light and work the muscle.

How strange… I squat fives at ~85% of 1rm, and I can and have squatted three times a week for several weeks with no sign of overtraining…

IMHO, squatting hard three times a week is NOT impossible, at least for beginners and intermediates.

You are all clowns. Clowns squat too much. They have a hard time pooping because of it.
