Normally when cutting up, the traditional method is to get the carbs in the first half of the day, right. Lets say you consumed 2500 calories, instead of eating oatmeal first thing in the morning, how about eating it the last meal of the day!?! You will still be getting 2500 cals and going by theory you should spare more muscle. How about it T-Men? Anybody have the guts to try it?![]()
This is essentially what I do when dieting. I have to do this, otherwise I won’t be able to fall asleep. The low serotonin levels and rise in epinephrine and norepinephrine is the cause. 5-HTP seems to help in this regard. Even so, it’s what I like to do. Aside from that, I think if your goal is to reduce adipose tissue, I’d rather have glycogen stores low whenever I’m partaking in any kind of activity, whether it be exercise or simple tasks(walking to classes). Then again, some people just can’t function, physically or mentally, during the day without ingesting some carbs.
Under massive eating protocals you should do p+f meals for the last three meals of the day, but if you are an evening trainer it would be retroactive, I personally just space my carbohydrate intake out over the course of the day rather than clump it in the morning, but everybody’s body is different…
