What do you guys see rock climbing as being useful for? I went today and I forgot how much explosive power and flexibility you need to do the medium-hard climbs. Do you guys think rock climbing has any place as far as strength/endurance/explosive power goes?
I’m sure, if you do enough of it, you will build a back to be envied by many
Supposedly the key to excelling in rock climbing is to learn to use technique OVER muscle. Muscle of course helps!
It also helps to be very thin. I did some cutting and climbing became noticable easier. Also, you will be able to do a ton more pull ups. Fun hobby…
the grip strength of rock climbers is AWESOME
Perfect cross training activity. Crazy grip strength to follow shortly afterward.
Climbing walls instead of taking the stairs.
Seriously though, grip strength. I’ve seen several YouTube videos of finger pull-ups. It’s also for the thinking man/woman. You don’t just start climbing and hope your path doesn’t end.
