This post reminds me of the distance runners who would say, “Running the 400 isn’t hard, I’m not even tired”. Well no shit, I’m not tired either after running a 54 second 400. Try running 47’s or faster and then we’ll talk.
If you’re competitive, there’s no distance more brutal than 400m. Period.

Not going to argue with that, my main point though is that I’ve found things get harder/more painful the better you get at them. Especially in things like sprinting and lifting. When I was weak, only able to squat 200 lbs and deadlift 270, lifting didn’t take much out of me. I didn’t have to take much rest between sets. When I got to where I could squat 350 and deadlift 405 it took quite a bit longer to recover.

Yeah, just do sprints. That way you don’t have to actually train. Men throw.
Correct, though I had to correct a rather small typo.
Your claim to manliness. Mohammed Aman
Run distance to the point that you are breathing out your ears and are about to sh*t yourself. That’s manliness. When I first started weight training, I though I was doing it wrong since there wasn’t enough pain. Turns out it’s easier than distance running.
You can post all the photos you want, until you run 800 under 2 min., I won’t be impressed.
I totally agree that the 400 is just as if not more brutal than 800 and up. The point is that discuss, shot putting, weightlifting is not as strenuous as distance running.

the 400m is IMO just a beast, the beast of all distances. It requires that perfect amount of speed with just enough distance to make you feel truly like shit.
