I need to improve my bench technique. Do you know of many how to videos or articles that explain the setup well?
keep in mind I bench -RAW- and I hear the lift is done a little differently if wearing a shirt.
So far I know this:
-Arch ur back
-Tuck ur chin
-Tuck ur elbows slightly
-Legs back with tension on glutes/hams
-Weight on upper back
-Shoulders back
-Bring bar to bottom of nipples or upper abs
-Middle to narrow grip
-keep weight/bar directly over forearms
If u have anything to add to this list, tips info, changes.
Plz comment.
Thanks!

You’ll have to play around with the setup on these. A good place to start is just to grab the bar with a comfortable grip width and have someone look at you with the bar in the bottom position. You’ll know you have it right when:
- Your forearms are perpendicular to the floor, looking from any angle
- Your upper arm is at a 45 degree angle to your torso
Once you get this basic position down, you can adjust your grip width. The grip width you choose will affect your upper arm angle and where you touch the bar to your chest. Wider grip = wider angle + higher touch.
the search function is sometimes useful.
give it a try
