I’ve been lifting since around 7th grade I am now a junior weighing in around 78 kg my bench is 135 kg squat 205 kg. I know I should wait for my brain/ body to develop more but, I am looking for feedback on how stupid it really is. I have never ran anything at all.
It ranks somewhere between “using a wasp nest as a football helmet” and “using a ladder while jumping off the roof to try to reach the moon”
Like big stupid. Particularly considering you’re not aware that Dianabol is NOT an ideal steroid.
You’ve made really solid strength progress. Stick to it and come back in 10 years to reassess.
Right now is the time in your life to NOT make stupid decisions.
Thank you for the feedback I will choose not to do this then lol.
Thanks for the feedback. I’ll keep grinding and ask more questions in the future.
At least wait until you are old enough to legally buy liquor and a hand gun. That’s when the USA government thinks you’re old enough to make good choices.
Only if you buttchug them…
But seriously, stay away from steroids at your age - I would recommend forever. If you get heavy into use, remember that it is likely a lifelong commitment with the needle and potential health issues.
But Dbol is one of my favorites! LOL! I especially like how my head resembles a balloon when I take it hahaha.
The good answer is to not do it. Even tho most people have done it. I did it at 18. I dont think i got anything out of that seems to be worth now when im 33 but i also dont think it did anything bad also. The problem is not that it could do smth to you. It’s mostly that it probably wont do you any good also. Steroids are overrated. They end up working maybe 10% out of what you would expect with your mildesy expectations.
There is some agreement that AAS accounts for about an additional 10% of strength.
Overrated? 10% greater powerlifting total can be the difference between first place and not even in the running.
And it can also mean a shit 440 squat and just as shit 480 squat lol
Certainly so.
Did anyone else just read “How stupid is if for a 17 year old to __________(fill in the blank)” and could immediately answer “Pretty damn stupid” without needing more details?
I think that is extremely variable lol depending on things like genetics, dosage, compounds, etc.
I can guarantee gear accounted for a HUGE increase in my strength and size.
I didn’t mention anything about size. That is totally separate.
What I did notice was that when I decided to try a couple steroid tested bodybuilding shows, I only lost about 10% of my strength on my major compound lifts after stopping all AAS.
Maybe some of your huge gains would have been acquired without steroids. I cannot say. I can only tell what I experienced.
I graduated high school at a pretty lean yolked 245 lbs - fairly strong. My strength endurance with heavy weight is appreciably lower without AA use. Now, I probably did more than most too and my genetics use gear well it seems.
But 10% seems extremely low to me. I would think more along the lines of 25-35%.
If the 25-30% is true and if it is also true that I only lost 10% of my strength stopping AAS, then cycling AAS may not at all be “renting” muscle. That is to say, I got a 30% strength gain using AAS, but didn’t lose but 33% of the gain after coming off AAS.
Which makes a case that the drug free contest should not have allowed me to compete as AAS free. I had a 20% strength advantage over the “never used AAS” contestants.
Just a thought.
I don’t recall the article off the top of my head, but the gist was AA’s create super highways of nerves to your muscles that you never lose once built. A certain level of strength will always be retained from AA use in a lot due to neural pathways being enhanced. It was a take on “muscle memory”.
