How People React to Your Body?

I just started lifting in January, have gained 25 pounds, and my mom won’t stop calling me fat : (

Kinda discouraging.

I added mass pretty quickly, while staying quite lean.

Everyone says I “bulked up”. No, I didn’t, I just added lean mass.

Women touching my chest - that’s fairly rewarding for my ego, but that’s where it stops (I’m married and faithful to my wife).

I’ve got friends making comments about my “big guns” - I’m like, WTF, my arms are my weak point. But hey, I live in Nerdistan (a.k.a. the Silicon Valley).

People ask me if I “juiced up”. No, damn it, it’s just good training and clean eating.

I haven’t seen my parents in several years, and last time I saw them I was a skinny bastard - my wife tells me that they may not recognize me today, which is exaggerated but I see her point.

Hummm…

People still call me a stupid asshole…some things don’t change.

This is going to sound stupid…I get women touching my chest ALOT. Doesn’t seem like it’d be that bad, but they’re usually not my type, you know…the fat and/or ugly ones. Most good looking women I’ve known didn’t have to be so forward.

I’ve got them doing that too, checking if they’re ‘muscle or fat’ … hot ones also  … what I usually do to set them right is just squeeze back. They usually don’t know how to react. Serves them right!

Little old ladies often offer to help me cross the road and carry my shopping bags.

Revulsion. Fear. Screaming and gnashing of teeth. Some flee in terror.

What are the more interesting/entertaining things people have said regarding your new muscles or just your physique in general?
They stay silent. Maybe they think I will eat them.

I have a lot more squelchy sex.

I called my friend (he goes by the screen name HARD ‘N’ Vascular) to ask him how he deals with being super jacked he wrote this back.

Yo since I got all jacked I feel the world be discrimanting man! Average size doorways are to small for me, soy boys be hating! Handicaps got wheelchair ramps, but they can’t make buildings accesible for my jackedness?!

They sent out a memo to all hometown buffets in California saying I was hurting their quartrly profit margin and shit, thats discrimanting man! How they expect me be all swole without the buffet! thats bigism!

I try to go in the club, and the bouncers say nah man you’s to swole and shit were scared of your GUNS!

How am I going to get the ladies to fell my muskles if I can’t get in da club? More bigism I tell you!

I try to shop at costco and the pallet cart ain’t big enough for all my oatmeal and chicken breasts’s and I have to walk sideways to let little people and their little kids get past me than I smile and my muskles flex and get all HARD ‘N’ VASCULAR and I make the little kids cry cause they say I am gonna eat them. See the stereotypes I gots to live with?! I don’t eat children!

Than I go to checkout and they say I ain’ts got enough balance in my card, so I call up Captial one and they say they lowered my balance to 2,000 cause I kept going overdrawn from to many charges to

www.legalsupplmentsforextremejackdness.com and I chargin to many steriodzzzz to my card I say they jus supplments haters! You damn Bigists! They just hate how I am all HARD ‘N’ VASCULAR.

Yo Ironbros I fell yo pain people just be hatin keep on going from extreme jackdness.

Mr HARD ‘N’ Vascular

I am at that awkward stage where people can tell I lift, but I am not quite as big as some people they’ve seen, so they presume I’m “slackin’”(10-12% BF, 210 lbs, 6’) so I get you giganticron bastards bullying me, and a lot of small people discounting me as out of the ordinary without actually admitting they might find me imposing.

“Only if I can spank you first.”

In a gentlemanly way of course.

I started out around 300lbs a little over a year ago, right now im at 210. I still have around 30lbs to lose though. I worked at a video store where people wouldnt come in for a month or two and ask if I was a new person. After I told them I had been there two years they would freak out and ask wtf happened to me.

Nice work Outrage247. How did you lose all the weight?

I had that happen to me at a previous job. I had lost 30lbs, and regular customers would come and not even recognize me, and assume I didn’t know anything, even though I had helped them out before lol.
Basically I got off my ass and stopped eating fast food as much. I wish I had found this site a year ago. I am thinking about started a log on here to keep myself accountable and I am really getting into lifting.

The first year I was using just machines and cardio like a retard. Had I known what I do now from reading this site I am sure I would look way better and be much farther along then I am now.

5’ 10" 230-240 lbs for the last 16 (30 right now)years, only change is the fat/muscle ratio.

Best experience, was walking back to my car with a lady friend who had just bought me lunch (off a winning bet). This newly engaged friend of mine and I were stopped at a busy street corner waiting to cross when all of a sudden she says aloud (a little too loud), “I just can’t stand it anymore!” and proceeds to grope the hell out of my chest. (49 inch chest)

All this much to the wide eyed shock of myself, the elderly couple who were waiting next to us that she didn’t notice, and several of the cars watching some 20ish Chinese girl squeezing the hell out of my chest…

Usual reaction i get from adult strangers is that they stay away. Big body, arms and (unfortunately face) covered in scars from my army/commercial fishing days.

Little kids see right through my fascade, call me fat and start climbing all over me wanting me to give them a ride as if i’m a pony.

Friends i know just say, “Time to buy a bigger shirt”

Now I am 5’11,around 193-194lb.That is considered pretty big for an Asian guy-in my country-the average guy is around 5’7,125lb.

This gal I am hitting on said she prefer scrawny guys, for my height,an optimal weight(for her standards) would be around 160lb.

Would you give up IRON for her? Nah,I dont do it…It’s my lifestyle…Giving up IRON for her is as good as cutting off my one of my hands…

I’m not big by my standards but big by the norm. 6ft3in 235lbs and I’ve had a few people tell me to join WWF. My wife loves it and always tells me I make her feel safe. I think a lot of comments are a joke and I don’t take them too seriously. I like training and I like being big, want to be bigger.

Women spontaneously orgasm when they see me. Men cower in fear and beg for mercy. Dogs whimper and shit on themseleves.

It’s the whole guys cower and women swoon.

Guys used to joke by calling me friendly names like Doogie (Doogie Howser) or Alex Keaton. That stopped altogether and now they break eyecontact quickly. You should see the dirty looks I get when I talk to there girlfriends.

Women used to treat me like one of the girls. Now they ask questions about me, laugh a lot more at jokes and smile at me longer.

Most of these people are rich young college kids, but it shows the superficiality in people. It kind of disgusts me.

I went from being a fat kid “you’re just genetically fat, there’s nothing you can do about it, have another piece of pie,” to a skinny fat vegetarian college kid “you’re just genetically lanky, there’s nothing you can do about it, why are you eating so much” to a somewhat fit 6’2" 220lbs 20 something.

Every time I pass a bench mark that I thought was a big deal when I first started, like benching 225, or deadlifting 315, I realize how weak I am, and how much further I have to go. But just being able to do a pullup, or squat your bodyweight is amazing to most people.

People are a hell of a lot nicer to you when you’ve got some size on you. In fact, if you are bigger and taller than average, you almost have to be super nice not to come off as a bully.

And I get the “you must lift weights” comment a lot. Yes I must. Or if I lift some not very heavy object off the floor with no effort, people are like wow you’re strong. And I’m thinking “but I’ve only got 15 inch biceps and can’t squat for shit!”

That’s what happens to me

Ya know what’s funny is how the average folks think 15" arms are BIG. I’ve had numerous people comment on my “Big” arms but they aren’t. Mediocrity is so lame.
