Need to give Dr. a PSA sample and i’m concerned it will be high due to TRT. This could very well trigger my already-nervous Dr. to reduce or stop my script.
Anyone with any insight?
Back in 2020, on 20mg E3D, my PSA was 1.2 (< or = 4.0)
I’m now on about 48mg EOD, a bit higher dose.
Should i reduce dose prior to giving blood sample? Or you think i’ll be fine?
ALSO: IF I did wanna play it safe, how long would it take for PSA to lower once I reduced by dose?
Looks like you solved your problem. Either way, PSA increase in older men is usually an imbalance of T to E2. Your dose, while higher end for TRT, is not super high. I doubt you will have issues with DHT excess etc causing prostate enlargment or increase of PSA.
My PSA was .4 pre trt. At my first follow up appointment six weeks later it was .8
It has been .8 for nearly nine years now. No further increases since the initial. Total T was 767 last time on 120mg/week split eod.
I have been on TRT 7 years and I saw an initial raise from .4 to .7. It has been at .7 for the last 6 years regardless of my dosage. I have taken as much Test C as 150mg a week and low as 70mg a week through the years. PSA has remained stable after the initial increase.
