How Much Does Tiger Woods Bench?

315 isn’t a big bench at all. I hit that junior year of high school @ 175… I guarantee he can bench that at that weight.

ok… Now that that is settled on to some also important business:

Who gets more poon when single:

Tiger

Tom Brady

or

Lance Armstrong?

EDITED for clarity, that I feel the original topic is important, as I will spend a minimum of 35mins having this conversation at work tomorrow.

For a 1RM…not so much.

The average couch potato I see benching can put up 245-250 or so for one.

You dont think someone who eats right and actually lifts more than once a month, could easily do 50 pounds better than that ???

Im curious as to what you guys think a grown man’s average bench is ???
wrong!!! I have never ever seen a coach potato lift that much, average is 135-150lbs

you’re talking about people who watch tv all day and eat nothing but garbage. Being able to lift more then 225. Your whole statement is wrong. 300-315 is a big number

I heard LaBuff doesn’t like to use the bench press cause of his shoulders so he reps out 150lbs dumbells for like 12 reps and then he flashed his abzzzz when the set is done…
Haha! Theyre not full reps though, his elbows only move 4 inches

Of course they only move four inches as he is targeting jus his chest.

im going to say tom brady, then tiger, then lance

I don’t think golfers do much benching because of the stress it puts on the shoulders.

you say tiger has gotten bigger.

Do golfers use steroids for a longer drive?

Is this a joke?

I think pro golfers should be tested for steroid use just like other pro sports. I bet Tiger would be dirty. At times he looks built like a damn pro football safety.

I think i might have actually read that in a magazine.

You have obviously never seen a pro football safety, because Tiger isn’t even close.

Tiger worked out at my gym in San Diego for 4 days during July of 2007. I saw him lift every morning. Granted, this was in season training for him, but no way at that time was he capable of benching anything over 225.

People who think medium shirt wearing Tiger Woods is jacked have never seen someone who really is jacked.

That’s nothing. Skinny televangelist Joel Osteen boasts a 300 lb bench press.

He’s got Jesus as a trainer though

That’s true. It’s a little known fact that Jesus was seriously into strongman competiton: his best event was the stones. In fact, he was so good that he set a PR after he died.

On the other hand, if the Son of God was spotting me and said “it’s all you man, it’s all you”…well, let’s just say that I wouldn’t be too convinced…

Well I guess that settles that.

Well I guess the couch potatoes down here are bigger than there then.

I see alot of fat guys at the gym, in pretty bad shape, poor routines, the works.

But they will mess around with 225 for a few reps, and can usually hit their bodyweight or a little better for a max.

I rarely see guys in the gym over the age of 25 or so that arent hitting 250 for one.

I rarely see highschool atheletes, or gym rats here that cant put up 295-315 for 1 or mabey 2 shakey reps.

Honestly 315 is not a big bench, I hit that with horrible form and a shitload of arch in highschool, most guys who played a sport did…

This isnt some powerlifting gym, its a commercial gym in an upscale area, there just isnt many teenagers running about.

If 250 is a big bench in your gym you need to switch gyms, your working out with pussies.

Tom Brady for the win.

A few months ago I did read about him going on bulk phases and such so it wouldnt be a shocker if he could bench anywhere from 270 to 350.
(Sounds like alot but its not)

For anyone wondering, Y.E. Yang was in the Korean Weightlifting program until he injured his knee at age 19. Then he took up golf.

Wow…this thread makes me feel small.

I’m ONLY benching 185# for 4 reps. ONLY.

I only started lifting in April though.

Thank God somebody said it … I benched 315 at 6’1" 185, 19 years old. I’m not saying Tiger definitely CAN do it, but to look at him and say ‘no way in hell’ … you dont know what you’re talking about

I said no way in hell to a 405. And I benches 335 at 17 as a senior in high school even though my form sucked horribly. I just don’t think Tiger looks the part of a 315 bencher but it’s more believable than a 405.
