How many sets per muscle group are you all doing per week? Per session?
Since I’ve been all about the aesthetics, 9 sets sets for small parts and 12 sets for bigger parts. Then over 3-4 weeks I grow that up to 12 sets for small stuff and 16 sets for bigger stuff.
I’ve been loosely following Mike Isreatel’s (shudder) guidelines. Start with fewer sets, staying a few reps why of failure. Then go closer to failure week by week, adding a set here and there. After 3-4 weeks, deload and start over.
I’ve got to give Dr Mike some credit, its really simple and it’s been working.
