im on a low carb diet. but i was wondering is their a website that i can input what i eat and see how low carb i am actually eating?

what sort of target should i be aiming at?

You can’t count the carbs in your foods or you just don’t know how many carbs are in the foods you eat? Either way, check out www.fitday.com. It is an online food journal that will calculate your intake for the day.

I second elusive on the fitday suggestion. Keep a log of what you eat there.

Stay under 30 grams of carbs per day and you’ll avoid the cravings and the mental problems some have on a low carb diet.

Don’t count green leafy veggies such as broccoli and celery. 1g of fiber “negates” 1g of carbs. Eat your good fats too, you want to become fat adaptive so you can burn fat.

not sure how many carbs in are certain things…

i buy most of my food from “aldi”… its a chain store in the UK that is real cheap. but most of the food is from germany, poland etc. so i cantread the poackages and some dont even have nutritional content on them.

Well depending on your goals. your carb intake is about 10%, which is low. Don’t get caught up in the “low carb is good craze”. If your seeing progress it is good. There are many ways to see progress. If your liking your progress, than yes, its good.

I want to go ketosis(sp) ie burn fat in preference to carbs.

ive had good results on low carb before in relation to gains and fat loss. but when i was going it i was eating NO vegetables at all. basically dry meat 4 times a day with a few shakes.
