I completed a three-week frequency-intensification block of training on Saturday focused on my deadlift that had me pulling 4 days a week. Before I move on to the next block I want to re-test my max, but I’m not sure how long to wait. The load waved from 80-95% of my max over the training week and repeated; the longest period of time between pulling was two days.
I want to be fully rested and have taken advantage of the supercompensation, but I recognize that waiting too long isn’t good either. Is tomorrow okay or should I give it another day or two and do a feeder workout or something light tomorrow?
