Creatine is in all muscle tissue meats, highest levels are in Herring (a fish).
I’d fallen in with the creatine cycling dogma in the past. The only thing it did for me was to show that, for my own purposes, creatine absolutely IS effective.
I noticed this when taking two weeks off the creatine - on the second week, I’d have a definite strength reduction, not able to complete as many reps.
Now, I take 2.5g of creatine in my workout shake, half of which I drink during the workout and half after the last set.
When I didn’t train during the first week in January, while on vacation, I saw a definite decrease in size on my chest, back and arms, along with a missing 3 pounds of body weight. Based on how I looked, and the rapidity with which I regained the weight, I’m guessing that was lost water.
In my experience, creatine has been an effective and worthwhile supplement, as it allows me more reps, more muscular energy for more muscular damage and hypertrophy. Your mileage may vary.

Question about creatine quality.
I purchased a bottle of creatine from walmart because it was cheap as hell, like 9 bucks. I think the serving size is 5g. The product is by a company called body fortress. Ive heard how protien content is what u get is what u pay for would that be the same case with creatine?
J4K3, it`s probably a cheap form of creatine monohydrate, it will probably be fine to use, just make sure you take with a fruit juice, because it assimilates into the body better that way. Also no more than 5 grams total, per day.

it already has dextrose with it. I bought the same stuff, because I ran out of my usual brand.
