Damn that’s awesome. I didn’t know you were genetically a pretty small guy. You have made some crazy gains in 4 years

thanks man.

it’s mainly due to a meticulously kept food log and workout routine

Hey HM, any tips for a beginner?

Stop using grips and straps, eta a shit load of food for a few years while gaining a good 30 or 40lbs of muscle and yours will be Hyyoooogggeeee as well.

I have never trained my forearms directly. I always say I may do so eventually just to see how they will develop, but while I used to use straps initially, I haven’t worn them in several years.[/quote]

I don’t use straps, never appealed to me. If I start doing shrugs I may acquire some but until then I don’t think I can have enough grip strength.
I remember you mentioning that somewhere as well, I was also kinda shocked to read that.

I don’t train my forearms directly either, but nor do I bodybuild.I’m finding myself increasingly interested in changing my training towards BB’ing but I’m still gaining some strength back after a neck injury and even more recently a back injury.

Oops, sorry. /end pointless hijack

Sorry I don’t have any jokes about boning teachers, lunk alarms etc.

serious question, I only use straps when dead lifting. All other back pulling movements are without straps. Should I be concerned about my fore arms?

uhhh, i dunno if you posed that question at me.

i’d be concerned about forearms if they were tiny looking.

honestly i’ve seen tons of ppl always doing isolation forearm work with no real forearms (mostly skinny baseball player looking dudes)

guys that are rowing/pressing/pushing 3-4-500lbs generally have good looking forearms.

HM, you should give us some details/a peak into your training and nutrition! I can’t speak for others, but to me, you’re an inspiration. Guys like you, Evan, Way, Bug, DOHcrazy (wherever he is now lol) and others of a young age are super motivators to the rest of us!

Don’t make me beg, cuz I will
