How do incorporate Grip strength training

I am about to start the German Body Composition Program. However, I realize that my grip strength is extremely weak and I want to do some grip strength traning exercises while on the program. How often should I work on a my grip if I follow the traditional german body comp program going for days a week?Is there an optimal workout session that I should target?

do a lot of deadlifts, pullups, shoulder shrugs, bent over barbell rows. that should build up your grip as you work out. NO STRAPS!!!
