Isn’t there an article on elite fts about knowing when you are huge. If I remember correctly it was funny
Also to those that think you can’t get damn big and be athletic, powerful ect. Strongmen competitors I think are the poster boys (giants) for that. They are jacked. Strong, powerful, have endurance, flexibility pretty damn well rounded I would say.
I agree that they are extremely athletic, however I think you have to have the right frame to support that kind of structure and maintain athleticism. I don’t think everyone is capable of gaining that size and maintaining athleticism. Purely speculation on my part though.
Lol jbpick86 I don’t want you to think I’m stalking you haha I just happen to 100% agree with everything you’ve written in this thread. I think we are on the same page on this issue.
I completely agree that strongmen have an awe-inspiring combination of many athletic qualities, but I just feel that you have to be blessed with a massive frame to get to their level.
Also, I don’t think many strongmen have the longer distance endurance abilities that I’d personally like. I really enjoying going for long hikes, and I think that dragging 300lbs+ over several mountains in a day wouldn’t be fun. Just my personal preference, but that is something important that I factor into my own goals.

I think a lot comes to training. When I jumped up 30lbs. Walking was tough. Doing longer “cardio” not jogging because I think jogging is stupid and gives no benifits to a person other than tearing up the knees, got difficult. But after a month I am right back to where I was able to walk miles up an incline ect ect
Strongman dont train for that but I imagine you certainly could. So I think hiking at there size once used to it wouldn’t be all that bad. Again just my opinion.

This is true. Your body has to adjust to the heavier weight. Found the same thing for myself.

J. Prufrock, my comments here are in no way similar to the argument you created in the other thread. You were acting childish and ruined that thread, the “joke” you made was in no way cerebral or funny

I don’t know, guys. Maybe I’ll have to give Pete another shot. He just always came off as a bit full of himself. I might very well be mistaken. George is a fucking monster. He didn’t seem to perform as well in competition as he did when training from what I saw, though.
He’s not. Watch his recent videos as well as ones with him actually talking. George doesn’t have much meet experience lol.
To me “too big” is your average new IFBB pro about 2 years after he gets his card. Shit tends to go downhill pretty fast at that point. The leg and waist mass gets to be too much and the proportions get all fucked up. Don’t know why, don’t care why, but that’s about the limit in my book.

Noted. I’ll be sure to never reference a meme created on this site ever again. Because, for some reason when I do it, it’s wrong. When anyone else does it, it’s funny. I’ll be sure to remember that.
I hadn’t seen that thread before, gotta say I’m laughing pretty hard :). I think the problem in the last thread was that you didn’t really reference that thread in your first post…it seemed like you were pointing that out for the first time, I think others must have not seen that meme thread either
That’s what I was really trying to explain to everyone. I would never harbor any ill will towards another poster on this site, let alone because of race. I try to be pretty respectful and fair when it comes to most things and was getting pretty bummed that people were thinking I was being malicious.
