Your recommendations have been dead on. I have even got my RN wife and Ivy League Med School daughter giving you guys props for your citations and using sources like PubMed and other legit studies. Well done.

Can someone better-informed please answer a couple questions for me?

  1. I have heard that collagen doesn’t do much for you if you have sufficient protein intake already. Fact or fiction? (Or perhaps more nuanced than that?)
  2. Collagen is becoming popular among rock climbers, and climbing brands who sell collagen are marketing it as something that will strengthen your connective tissue such as tendons and ligaments. Is there any truth to that? Let’s assume for context to this answer, will it strengthen connective tissue in those who are training to do that already?

Its a tough call. We have a relative idea which proteins build healthy tissue the best, but i cant help wonder if hydrolyzed
colagen MAY still be a good protein at moments when joints are the main things you wanna feed. Its tough to answer IMO.
